Q: How safe is it to have a lampshade and a lightbulb hanging from a power cord? This is putting stress on the cord, not meant to bear weight, only conduct electricity. This does not look safe to me.

A: Hi - yes you could add that. This design does have an on off foot switch on the cord. You could use a line-cord dimmer with the lamp. You would make plug the lamp cord into the dimmer cord. Thank you for the question.

Q: Main photo shows shade and the light hanging about five inches down from end of the stand— but photo showing lamp in room, shade is hanging down quite a bit more. Is it adjustable?

I should have listened to the reviews! It is difficult to put together and kind of cheap looking. The cord is too long and hard to figure out. But for the price it’s a good buy.

Not enough screws & they fell in the lamp.
Only came with 2 screws and it needed 3. Even those screws weren't long enough for one part and fell inside the base of the lamp. Contacted Lamps Plus directly and they didn't respond.

bad lamp
lamp has wire that shows above the shade. the shade does not have a bottom so the lightbulb is hanging there so you cant sit near it because the lighbulb is practically in your face. terrible lamp. and target has very rude customer service reps

Hi - as we shown in our photos, the shade hangs down from a short length of wire. The bulb should be centered in the shade, so it sounds like you have the bulb hanging down too low below the shade. Assembly awkward. need more screws
We like this lamp and how it looks, but beware… you have to screw in very very time screws which easily fall into the cylinder of the lamp. You get 2 extra and they are very easy to lose. Our lamp is put together missing a screw and we are concerned about its integrity because it is missing a screw. There should be more than 2 extra. How do we get any more? Afraid to use it. It was awkward to put together.

Worse Thing Ive bought from Target
Horrible this lamp broke when I tried to bend it a little. Cheap material and I could not return it.

Missing parts
the lamp was very hard to assemble and had missing screws needed (we had to go to a hardware store) and did not include a light bulb. it works now but would not recommend.

Like it but Missing some Screws to hold arc correctly!
1). Very pretty & functional 2). 2 set screws missing*** supposed to be 6, only 4 included….contacted Lamps Plus & they can’t send parts….said to return to Target! 3). Husband tried to purchase but couldn’t find correct size @ Home Depot 4). Repackaging after disassembling will be a pain, but we just may do so….. 5). Agree that multiple bits of electrostatic styrofoam are everywhere! What a mess! 6). Great price 7). Helpful Lamps Plus team member on phone but we couldn’t solve problem! 7). Disappointed that we’re wasting time& energy trying to correct mistake made when packed!
