A: The answer is not an answer. Do these have to be placed under cover or can they tolerate some rain, such as placed under a tree or in a shrub bed?

A: No they are not. Maybe you could use some kind of putty tack on the bottom to try to adhere them to the outdoor surface though.

Too fragile!
I was hoping these would be the perfect addition to my holiday decor however the spheres are too fragile. The spheres are not solid plastic but rather tiny beads of plastic molded to form a sphere. If accidentally dropped they would break apart or be permanently dented.

I LOVE that it has no glitter, this was a major point for me. No mess, and still has a pretty sparkle. I might have these up year round because of how much I like them. The only downside is one of the orbs arrived flat on the side which is a bummer. I’ll be keeping that orb towards the middle. Best to store these carefully and check the box after purchasing. Great For Christmas Tree
Ended up using these as ornaments on my tree. LOVE THEM! I’ve been looking for a third type of light for the tree to add visual interest and these were perfect! I have other large-scale ornaments and these fit in perfectly. Hoping the battery life will last through December.

These are absolutely delightful. Subtle sparkle and glow. Only con: They are not glass. They are a weird sort of flexible plastic(?), but fine. They say indoor/outdoor but they are not waterproof. Very very lightweight. These would only be able to be outside in a covered porch or of you live in a place that has absolutely no wind. These suckers would fly to the next state over. There is no way to pin them down if outside. But overall they are a good buy…on sale. I wouldn’t pay full price for these. The screws on the back are a pain to get off without stripping them-a couple already were.

disappointed
i discovered these too late to ship and only 1 in stock and hour away. i was a fool and didn't open the box and check until i got home and found that one had the light glued in only half way, canted at an angle, so it wouldn't sit flat and the other with a loose connection, so the light flickers and goes out even with the slightest touch, so took about 10 tries to get it set down and still on. the other i had to carefully loosen the glue and reglue the base back into place. the store i picked up in was a mess at the service desk and the associate was unfriendly. target sent a reply email to the survey and apologized, but the excuse was basically the no-one-wants-to-work-so-everyone-is-overextended-and-exhausted line, which sounds a lot like employees being taken advantage of and not properly compensated for their over-extension and one person doing the work of 3. not a good look.

Practical and Bright!
These are so pretty! They are simple rubber like balls in three different sizes. They have just an “on” setting or a timer setting. They are decently bright as well! It doesn’t take up too much room either so if you don’t have a lot of space, these are perfect to add to the decor.

Gorgeous, but…
The glow of these globes is stunning. The camera doesn’t do it justice. It’s a glittery, shimmery bright light. Will look nice anywhere HOWEVER the base of my large globe broke off before could properly style them with my Christmas decor, I don’t think it was secure to begin with. I haven’t been able to get it back in the opening yet but will likely need glue and a tool to fix it. Be careful with these!
