A: I have the green holly set. The fitted sheet has elastic all the way around the bottom plus across each of the four corners about halfway up.

Q: Does Performance mean that this material was treated with anything?

A: I don't know but there is a very strong chemical odor when you get them as you'll see on the reviews. I used hot water, baking soda, detergent and downy rinse and refresh twice and it came out.

I really like design of the plaid sheets and I didn’t experience the bleeding that others mentioned with the red into the white, but after the second wash we now have several tears in the fabric that we have never had happen with previous Threshold sheets we have purchased. Maybe I should have washed on the delicate cycle, but again have never washed on that cycle with other Threshold sheets and I didn’t get tears with those sheets just from washing.

I couldn’t be happier with this sheet set! I definitely recommend washing them first, because they do have quite a strong odor. Anyone who is looking for a quality cotton sheet set, look no further! I could’ve spent $100 more at Pottery Barn, but I’m so glad that I purchased these. I heard that the holly berry sheets bleed when washed, because of the red berries, so I went with the winter forest. These are great, because you can use them all season long, and the color doesn’t bleed. It’s also not a stark pure white, which I really loved. It makes the image much softer to the eye. Really happy with this purchase!

They are really nice and silky soft, but since they stink so bad right out of the package, I washed them before using them. When I took them out of the wash I was disappointed to see that the red had bled onto the white parts of the plaid, and now they are pink plaid sheets. Not really the look I was going for. I will probably return them as they don’t really match the Christmas decor in my bedroom anymore.

Usually a fan of the Threshold sheets. These were a HUGE MISS. Stunk so bad out of the package, washed in cold with downy calm beads and softener. Helped eliminate the smell but the red color bled and turned the white to pink. They are extremely uncomfortable and feel like sandpaper. Sad because the print is beautiful.

I got the christmas tree pattern and love how they look with my dark green duvet cover. I knocked off a start because they are a bit long (I ordered a queen). The sheets extend at least a foot off the end of the bed and are longer than the duvet.
