I don't recommend this
This item had low quality shelving. Meaning the shelves themselves were flimsy. Mine was also defective based on incongruent drilled holes...it simply could not be assembled. It was a fingerprint MAGNET! I returned it. It looks more sturdy online than it is in truth. I got it on sale and I was unhappy about the value. I can't imagine paying full price for this.

Not exactly what I expected...
I purchased what I thought was this same bookshelf about a year and a half ago. I decided to get another one shelf, but wanted to see if Target still sold/made them. I was super excited when I found this - I measured my current shelf to compare and everything seemed to be identical. The previous shelf I ordered came fully put together, all you did was take it out of the box and the shelves folded down - it's seriously the BEST bookshelf/case ever. Really easy to move and store, but also super sturdy. When this one arrived, it was not fully assembled. It took about a solid hour and a half to get it together. Some of the inner-shelf screw didn't fit in certain pieces of wood, so there was a lot of back tracking to find the best fit for pieces that should be able to fit anywhere in the shelf. So that was disappointment #1. Disappointment #2 is that the measurements on the shelf I received (once fully assembled) do not match the website. It's about three inches off on the height. Not the end of the world - but I had to reconfigure the design of the room because these two shelves were noticeably different heights now. Overall the shelf is sturdy, a great color, and will work fine for now.
