It's not what I thought.
I actually have to turn them on manually every 10 minutes because they keep turning off; I bought them 3 days ago and the yellow lights aren't even working anymore. I'm very disappointed.

Lights are beautiful and relatively bright for a DC-powered system. However, the solar panel is cheaply made and didn't last more than a week. It stopped charging and I have to return it.

With a full day of sunlight to charge the solar panel the lights only shine for 1 hour and 1/2. When they are lit they look nice. I wish they stayed on longer as the description states. Will return.

As bright as my plug in lights.
If you read the instructions it says you need to charge for 8-10 hours in full sun prior to the first use. I actually did two days of charging before the initial use and turned them off before it got dark for the one night in between. Probably overkill, but now they just charge all day and run bright and long into the night and I don't have to think about anything. They also use rechargeable AA batteries inside the solar panel and there are directions for replacing these if needed.

sometimey
these are very hit or miss and they only work when they want to. the solar panel itself works but whatever powers the bulbs on and off is really finicky. they won't stay on. sometimes they automatically come on, sometimes they won't. sometimes the switch works and sometimes you have to press it 25x before it will. glad i got it for half price but not worth it either way.

Tested each string before I spent HOURS putting them up.... they don't light up. Very disappointed for the price of 20$/string. Will be returning.

Good in theory, but so far only 3 of 5 sets I have bought actually work. Two sets only light up about 25% of the lights. Have had to make multiple trips to replace.
