Q: What happens when you overload uniform maximum weight on the shelf. I saw 10 & 15 lbs respectively on previous question asked.. Will the shelf begin to bend??!!

Love the look of this piece. Was able to put together by myself. I didn’t follow instructions 100% because common sense is needed. You must be very careful putting together because it is all press board. You can’t over tighten anything or the screws will strip and the locking cams will pull through the board. Took me several hours (6) to assemble but I was interrupted a few times and had the tv on. Some of the pieces were not in perfect condition. There were several blemishes that had been touched up with coverup. They will not be visible so I was ok with the marks. I was glad there were no cracks, chips or breaks. Other wise I would have retuned the bookshelf. I do not think this piece is stable enough to handle a move from one home to another. I would disconnect the top and bottom for such a move. A general move within a home is able all it could handle.

The reason I gave it 4 stars was the instructions to put it together were a little confusing. I had to flip 2 boards because it was difficult to tell which way they went in. Other than that, the shelf looks nice and feels stable. I would buy it again, I just think it could be easier to assemble with a bit more detail on the instructions.

Great Bookcase for the price. Seems sturdy. We use it as shelving in my son's bathroom. Spruced it up by adding glass knob handles. Slightly annoying, you can see all the holes for the screws from the outer side. The image shown online has them conceal. Also, if you have a sensitive nose like me, peewww, the paint on the bookcase is STRONG. It took weeks for it to finally go away.

I really like it. It's a decent and sturdy shelf. It's tall enough but not too tall. The drawer slides a little fast & gives it a bit of a flimsy feel but it's not a deterrent to purchasing it. It holds a lot. They provide the stuff you need to anchor it to the wall. But I don't get the feeling that it will fall. It wasn't that easy to move. I docked 1 star because you have to look close at the pictures to see the holes to see which way to install it. There should be a better instructions and 1 of the shelves wasn't in the instructions so we had to take the top off to put it and the locking nuts were a bit difficult. All in all it's worth it.

This bookcase is just what I was looking for. I love the style, color, size, and that it has a drawer for little odds and ends. Yes, the reviews that mention the assembly being a pain are correct. It took me about 3 and a half hours to put it together, but it was mostly painless. Once you get a handle on it, just take your time and it will be fine. My biggest headache was the drawer but we figured it out. I'm giving this product 3 stars because it arrived with some chips/markings/imperfections that I almost considered returning it. I decided to keep it (they're not overly noticeable unless I point them out) and may do some touch up paint down the road. All in all I like the piece, but was disappointed that it came a bit damaged and will probably order from a furniture store in the future for large pieces.
So worth the assembly time!

This was exactly what I had hoped it would be! Yes, the previous reviews were correct in that it takes 2-3 hours (or more) to put together because there are a zillion little screws and stuff BUT the directions weren't as confusing as I expected. The main issue with the directions is just the print being so tiny that it was hard to identify exactly what details they're talking about. Anyway, overall this is awesome. If you're thinking of buying, DO IT! Just give yourself 3 solid hours of patience to put it together and you won't be disappointed. I got some cute colorful ceramic knobs to put on the drawers and it made a HUGE difference in taking this to the next level. Wish I had bought this sooner instead of swooning from a distance for so long.

The directions to this shelf was ridiculous. Pictures were so blurry, words did not make sense. I will never order anything from this brand. The shelf is good, the trouble to put it together was not worth it.

Absolutely LOVE it! Works perfect for what I had in mind. Very sturdy. Hinges so if you want to attach to the wall so it won't tip was a plus but didn't need. Wouldn't put a lot of heavy things in the drawer but I still was able to do a lot with the drawer. ONLY ONE PROBLEM......the instructions were ridiculous! It took my husband two hours to put this together. He said if the instructions had been accurate and not a jumbled mess he could have put it together in less than an hour.

This is a great inexpensive shelf unit. The assembly instructions can be a little tricky to follow. I would give it more stars for quality if the drawer was sturdier. I bought this for my classroom and hoped to store my staplers and tape dispensers in the drawer, but am afraid they would be too heavy and force the bottom out of the drawer. Overall, it looks fantastic and is working out well.
