Q: How do you remove the stickers without removing the finish? This is terrible!!!

A: If other people are having this problem - *Before* you try to peel off the stickers, get out your hairdryer or heat gun and being careful not to get too close, blow warm / hot air on the stickers - from the back too, if possible. You want to warm up the sticky bit to loosen it all, and be careful peeling. This actually works to get the stickers & residue off all at the same time! I was so glad when someone told me about this so I'm passing it on :) It works on plastics and book covers too!

Q: Item says there are 4 shelves, counting the very bottom and the very top it appears to have 5 useable surfaces. It this correct that you can place items on the very top? I would like to use all 5 surfaces.

Q: I understand that the height between each shelf is 13.875 inches. I'd like to remove the second shelf (from the bottom) and place an item taller than 13.875 inches on the most bottom shelf. Is this possible?

I had been eyeing this bookcase for 2 years and finally committed to my teen’s room. The rest of the furniture btw is Restoration Hardware. It blends perfectly with the more expensive furniture in a niche in the room and is used mostly for display. It is not a high bookcase so would be good for a child or teen. Should definitely be secured to the wall if you have a home with children. Easy to put together make sure you put the shelves on the right way facing up the first time.

I needed something for our laundry room that wasn’t too expensive. You get what you pay for, this is made of cheap particle board. While it looks nice assembled, it’s junk furniture and I know it won’t last long, forget having to move with it, all the components are loose fitting. I can’t say I would recommend this piece. It’s junky.

This bookshelf looks nice when you put it together. It looks just as shown in the picture. The light wood and metal combination is quite pretty. I especially like the color of the wood which goes nicely with the color of the wood floors in my apartment and the Threshold rug on my floor. I will say that it is quite heavy, and some of the aspects of assembly are better with two people. It is very hard for just one person to line up the shelves between the two poles and put in the screws. Also, I put the top and bottom parts on by flipping the bookshelf over, even though the instructions don't say to do that. There was no way for me to get those parts on with it lying on the floor, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, the finished product looks nice and I do recommend it.
