Q: Does the stake go all the way into the ground? and then the light just rests on the top of the square part. Does not seem sturdy?

I really like the shape and style of these lights. What I don't like is how they make my house look like an airport runway with their bright blue/white glow. When it's dusk they have a beautiful glow as you can see in the top picture but when it gets dark that's when it starts to look like a runway
