    Broke in half

    I've been buying Sauder products for many years and have assembled more than my fair share as it was part of my job in grad school. I've never had a unit break in half like this before the joints between the top half and the bottom half pulled out of the press board when I was lifting it up after sibling the back. The product looks great, assembled easily, and it is more fragile in your typical presswood product

    Very happy with bookcase

    This bookcase makes a nice addition to my wife's office and seems very sturdy so as to handle all her plant books! A couple of the instructions could have been made more clear, but was able to assemble it with not to much trouble.

    Well Designed, Attractive Product

    I found the product easy to assemble. My brother helped me put it together. It took about 3-4 hours total, including a short beer break. I'm using it to store movie DVDs. The vertical shelf height space is pretty high. I wish Sauder would provide one more shelf for the bottom half for better utilization and capacity.

    This bookcase is really well made.

    Didn't have to make adjustments so parts would fit. Instructions were clear.Looks super in my living room with my collection of Louis L'amour hardback books. I assembled in my living room in about 2 hrs.

    Defective part

    One of the shelves are defective. It is missing a cut so that the shelf slides together. Without this shelf the whole thing looks silly and cheap. It had not been easy to order the part needed. Help much needed.

    Functional Product but Far from Great

    We are using several of these bookcases to set up a library reading room in our home. The product has good flexibility by virtue of its adjustable shelves. It exceeds eighty pounds and, thus, requires two persons to set it up. Particle board construction makes the bookcases fragile during construction and the laminated surface comes apart easily.

    This is a great looking and very solid Bookcase!! Easy to assemble. I did have an issue while assembling 1 of the 2 bookcases we ordered. A couple of parts were damaged during assembly which was my fault. I got on the Sauder web site and chatted with Bret. He quickly had replacement parts shipped to me no charge!! What a great company!!!

    Same great product as usual.

    I normally buy these for my various work offices, but this is for my home office . So simple to assemble! It took me 23 minutes! Shelving looks wonderful as usual!

    Beautiful dark wood bookcase

    The bookcase came unassembled, but the directions were easy to follow. Took hubby and I about two hours to put it all together. Some of the wood pieces were not marked, so we read the instructions and identified each piece and laid them out in order before we began.
