Q: We followed the instructions and twisted the end (C) to tighten the tension, but the twistable part of the rod always unspun back to the original place. Is this broken, or are we missing something?

Q: what size is the allen wrench that came with the shower rod?

A: Hi Ron, each shower rod is packed with two large hex wrenches size 5/32 in. for the mounting bracket installation and one small hex wrench size 3/32 in. for the set screw adjustment. Hope this helps to answer your question!

Q: How do I remove the end caps ....I forgot if the have screws or an Alan wrench (sp).

A: Hi BWG - We're glad you asked. The end caps have dimples on the side and can snap in/out of the mounting bracket/end pad. You'll sometimes have to push the end pad up to get the end cap to pop off. Hope this helps! - Gao

Q: Hello, are their instructions posted online somewhere for permanent mounting? I have installed using the tension mount, but it keeps twisting even after tightening. I have since thrown the instructions out.

Q: It states permanent mount. But I dont see screws? Because the sticker on the end of many rods are not permanent.

Perfect for adding a little extra space in the shower and not have the stupid curtain touching you while wet! I have had it up for a few months and solid. I’ve even put some weight on it and it’s still solid. I usually wouldn’t have spent a lot of money on a curtain rod but it was well worth it!

This shower curtain rod looks really nice and allows the hooks to slide smoothy. However, the directions (I used the tension-version) were so diffcilut to follow. Make sure you read through the instructions a few times before starting to make sure you understand what each step is outlining; there are many "gaps" in the directions that you will need to fill in for yourself.

Tension rod did not hold. We tried three times over three days. Always, a few hours later, the rod had twisted a quarter turn so it was hanging low in the center. Maybe it would be better as a permanently screwed in fixture but I’m not qualified to drill into tile.

A friend of mine bought this and loved it. I wanted to get one for my bathroom too. It’s great feeling like you have more space in the shower. I was confused by all the negative comments. It was actually very easy to install alone. Just set the pole length by tightening screw and twist to lengthen to make firm contact with wall. As simple as that.

Spent at least an hour trying to get this to work, should have read the previous reviews. Save yourself the trouble and buy a regular tension rod at half the price—replaced it and put it up in 5 minutes.

This thing was a nightmare to get out of the box. And I had to do way more work to build and install it than the cost of the shower rod should have dictated. It’s been up (tension mounted) for about 10 minutes … I have low expectations.
