A: Hello! Thank you for question. Our 72" Tapered End Cap Curved Aluminum Shower Curtain Rod Tension or Permanent Mount @ Target. There are two screws for each side of the Mounting Brackets. The screws from the middle of the 2 holes is 2 1/4" W and the Diameter of the top of the end cover is also 2 1/4" W. Aluminum is too soft, poor quality
The aluminum in this product is of poor quality. There’s a single set screw on the rod that holds its length—I followed the instructions exactly, but then ended up needing to extend the rod by 1/16. I removed the set screw and when I tried to refasten it, the aluminum was too soft. The threads in the hole in the rod were stripped and the $40 rod was useless. Will attempt to return.

Safety and Labeling Issues to Be Aware Of
The product arrived with each part labeled to assist with assembly, which was helpful in theory. However, several labels were placed on surfaces that remain visible after installation, and unfortunately, the label material was poorly chosen. They tore off in tiny pieces and left behind stubborn adhesive residue (as shown on the right side of my photo). While trying to remove the glue from one of the endcaps, I sliced my thumb open on a sharp internal edge, likely left over from the manufacturing process where the slot for the rod was cut. This was a painful and unexpected hazard. Advice to future buyers: Handle the parts with care, especially around cut edges, and be prepared to deal with adhesive cleanup. Message to Target and its vendors: Please prioritize consumer safety in both design and manufacturing. If labeling parts is necessary, use high-quality removable labels that don’t leave residue or require excessive force to remove. And ensure all edges are properly finished to prevent injuries.

Waste of Money
The tension rod is unable to support the weight of a shower curtain. Turns down immediately after hanging a curtain and line. Very effective if all you want is a rod, no curtain, in your shower.

Worst shower curtain ever
This shower curtain was impossible to put up. I had so many issues with it. Maybe if you don't have tile in your shower, it would be okay. It started scratching my new shower tile! I would give this 0 stars if I could. I've wasted my time and money trying to put it together. The other issue with it was also the stickers leaving a sticky residue. I even used my hair dryer on the sticker first, which usually helps all stickers automatically peel off. Nope!! That trick didn't work. I hate this product.

Trash - avoid
Do not buy this, the threads on the middle of the rod to lock in the shape stripped on the first try to screw it in. Had the whole thing screwed into the wall and got to the point of locking in the size before I did the tension and stripped. Had to take the whole thing down and return it and put my rusty shower rod back up.

Worst tension rod ever
Perhaps this would be better if it was hard mounted into the wall, but I don't think it would. Do NOT buy this. The tension mount is awful and does not work. It's $42 for pure garbage. Will definitely be returning this and keeping my rusty tension rod in place

Design or manufacturing details
One of the worst designed products I have come across in my life. Putting together the 2 opposing rods was an exercise in frustration as a microscopic screw needed to make them into 1 rod was unable to engage the thread. No problem with one rod. Add the 2nd rod and it’s impossible. I was really looking forward to using this shower curtain. The experience of assembling it was bad enough not to purchase this brand ever again. If zero stars was available as a grade, I’d have graded it as such Returning this piece of junk now.
