A: The height of front lip is 1 inch and the inner lip height is 0.5 inches.

Q: How is this mounted - the video shows holes already in the shelf - does the consumer have to drill holes in the shelf itself?

A: No you do not need to drill holes into the shelf, but you must pre-drill holes where you plan to install the shelf. If no wall stud is available, then install the dry wall anchors into the pre-drilled hole first before placing the shelf against wall and aligning the holes of the shelf to the pre-drilled hole in the wall. After aligning the shelf you drive the screws into the wall stud or drywall/anchors.

Awesome shelf
This was such an easy way for me to do a gallery wall that wasn’t permanent. I can switch up the frames and styles at anytime. I love that I can also add little items like a vase or holiday decorations. I added some Target frames and I think they look great.
