Being near Chicago, our weather changes frequently, so this hook is now installed on the inside of the garage service door. I have a heavier jacket hanging on it. If the weather should be colder than I expected, it's right there without having to go back in the house. 3M always has some useful and creative products. Also in the summer when I don't need a coat, it's handy to hold reusable shopping bags.

My favorite use is to put them inside closet doors to hold things like back packs and purses. Each hook can hold up to 5 pounds and helps to get bags off the floor but still in easy reach. I tried it on a wooden door and a painted (enamel) door, and it did not leave a mark when I removed it. I would recommend this product.

I hesitate to say the actual number but let's just say, it's up there. Sure, I can stuff them in the closet but that's a bit of a pain to dig them back out. I had seen a photo once of someone that used wall space to hang things, including shoes and purses. Wonderful Idea, I thought, but how to make it happen? I received the Command™ Large Designer Hook and thought "This is how I make it happen!" The Command™ Large Designer Hook has a generous 5 pound weight limit, perfect for purses that may have things in them all the time. The Command™ Large Designer Hook is easy to install too, no nails needed! Simply peel off the Red Side of the Adhesive Strip and apply it to the back of the hook. Next, remove the Black Side of the Adhesive Strip and attach it to the wall. I use a level to make sure it's, well, level up and down. Hold it to the wall for 30 seconds or so, then wait 1 hour to hang your item on the Command™ Large Designer Hook. Easy Peasy! If you need to remove the Command™ Large Designer Hook from the wall, that's a breeze too. Simply push up on the bottom of the hook to remove it from the holder. Then pull the Adhesive Strip down from the bottom, using what I call the tail, which is visible on the wall under the holder. It stretches and releases from the wall. Again, Easy Peasy! Looking for a hanging solution for everything from purses to hats to scarves? Look no further than the Command™ Large Designer Hook. I'm happy I did and I'm confident you will be too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have this up in the kids bathroom to hold their towels instead of tossing in the floor. They have held up well to damp, large size towels without falling. Love not putting holes in my walls and ability to move as change of placement is needed.

The adhesive holds strong, but at the same time, does not damage walls once it needs to be removed. It does not damage paint and has a good reputation as a quality product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been putting these 3m hooks behind my bedroom and bathroom doors. They keep wet towels off the floor, clothes for work or school the next day, robes etc.. Tgey hang up extremely easy and they don’t damage my doors when I remove them.

Since I rent, I always worry about damaging the walls from nails and adhesive. This hook is easy to install and remove without any tools or damage to the wall. I used the large hook to organize all my cat's wand toys. The first spot was too low on the wall and my cat had a ball knocking them off the hook (and it stayed secure even when one got stuck and she tried to pull it off the hook, tug of war style). So I easily removed the hook and placed it higher on the wall to keep the wand toys out of her reach. I'm very pleased with how well the hook held up and how easy it was to move.

My daughter is using it in her dorm room because of the rule of "no damage to the walls", mind you the walls are cinderblock but okay. She has her school bag and umbrella hanging and it is holding tight.

I used it on the inside of my closet towards the bottom of the door. that way I can still use the hook on top for my robes. It was super simple to apply, no tools needed. I experimented and painted this one black, just to see what it would look like. I also like that there is damage free removal.

It is great organization for back to school time. It comes in a variety of colors but white matched our use. Can support a lot of weight and still doesn’t look too utilitarian.

I liked the size and the weight limit. This was easy to install and hopefully as easy to remove someday in the future. I had been looking for a way to hang my welcome sign that could hold the weight on glass.

However, these hooks are so versatile that they can be used almost anywhere around the house. One of the things I really like about Command products is that they require no tools and installation is super easy. All you need is a clean cloth and a little rubbing alcohol to prep the wall. Once the surface is clean, just stick it on with no need for nails or screws. These hooks are designed to work best on smooth, finished surfaces like painted walls. I used one to hang a shatterproof, non-glass mirror on the painted wall in my laundry room. What I love is that you can’t even see the hook because it’s completely hidden behind the mirror, giving a clean, uncluttered look. In the future I can switch out the mirror for something different or easily remove the hook and strip and reuse it elsewhere. If you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-use hook that looks good seen or that can stay out of sight, and works well on smooth surfaces, I definitely recommend the Command Large Designer Hook!

It looks nice and blends in well with the space. I also really like the angle of the hook, it holds the towel perfectly and it doesn’t slide off. Definitely a must have if you want something simple and functional.

The designer is a little less bulky and would fit better in areas where it is more likely to be seen. The hooks are white and can hold many types of objects, including large towels. They are easily moved to another location by removing the adhesive strip. Two strips are included with each hook. They adhere well to the wall and during testing held the objects that were put on the hook. 3M provided the Command Hooks for review.
