Strips pulled right off the vinyl siding
I followed the directions- cleaned the vinyl with alcohol, put on the strip and the first one came off when I was removing the hook and the second held the item for approximately 5 seconds. did not work at all. very disappointed

Didn't work for us
We tried twice to use this to hang a wreath on a covered wall of our porch. Each time we followed the installation directions and we also waited several hours before we put the wreath on the hook. It stayed up a few hours both times before falling. Fortunately, it's a light wreath and we were able to just make a small hole for the screw hook that we replaced this with.

fell off first time, and my wreath was destroyed
I followed all the directions - cleaning the surface with alcohol, removing the hook to ensure the command strip was properly attached, waiting more than an hour before using it, etc. The wreath was light - just plastic ornaments on a foam ring. The next morning I found the hook and my wreath on the porch. The impact knocked half the ornaments loose, and the wind scattered the loose ornaments all across my yard - and my neighbors' yards too. NOT safe for outdoor use.

Heat intolerant?
I used the 5 lb command hook to hang a lightweight wreath on my new door. I followed all the instructions. It was great for a few weeks, and the the hook and wreath fell off. I assume it was because the space between the storm door and the actual door can become very hot in the afternoon sun. I purchased another hook, and made a consistent effort to keep the inner door open in the afternoon. The second hook still fell off. I have to assume the adhesive melts in the heat. What’s the answer here?

This hook has held up for two months, outside, with no with no sign of losing function. We have it attached to glass on our front door. It blends in well with our fall/ winter colored wreaths. I’ve purchased a few more to use on other doors inside (and out) of our house.
