Q: What diameter curtain rod would fit in this hook? What is the distance between the interior of the hook and exterior of the 'base'? What size dowel rod could I lay horizontally in this hook?
A: Thank you for asking. When using Command Hooks to hang curtains rods it is important to note that when more than one hook is used to hold an item, make sure that the weight is evenly distributed between the hooks. The hooks need to be level when holding rods. When more than one hook is used to hold an item, the total weight capacity remains the same as one hook. Using with rod diameter less than 5/8", length less than 48", and finial greater than 3/4". In use, slide curtain across. Do not pull down. Q: Can this specific Command Brand (5lb large oil rubbed bronze metal hook) be put on the door front and support a small item? I read it said it works on different surfaces but I need to know for specific in the front door
A: Hello - Thank you for asking. This product is designed for indoor use. For exterior use we would recommend the Command Outdoor Hooks. These are designed for exposure to outdoor temperatures, moist conditions, and UV light.

Q: What is the maximum diameter of curtain rod this could hold? Would it work with a 1" curtain rod?
A: Depending on which Command Hooks are used, the rod must fit into the 'U' of the hooks to ensure centrally loaded, shear/downward weight. The maximum weight of the curtain and rod must not exceed the weight limit of ONE hook, regardless of how many hooks are used.

Q: What are your thoughts on using these hooks on stucco outdoors?
A: Thank you for asking. Command is designed for use on smooth, sealed surfaces, that have been cleaned with rubbing alcohol. Command is not recommended for use on heavily textured surfaces like stucco.
