Mounting hardware defective
I bought two of these. The mounting hardware doesn’t fit the hooks well. One is too tight, and one is too loose (I switched them to see if I had them mixed up—same results). I cut my hand twice trying to remove the tight one. The loose one lifts straight off of the wall with no resistance whatsoever. Huge disappointment.

Love the style of this hook! Install was pretty smooth. The only thing I don't love about this design is that the hooks pretty easily slide back off their latch and their isn't a way to secure them. Not the worst thing, but not ideal for a high traffic entryway with heavy winter coats.

Terrible design--not functional at all
Disregard the AI-generated five star reviews on this hook, it’s a $3 piece of trash. As others have noted, it slides down over the piece that you mount to the wall. This means that if you push the hook up at all, it will fall off. You can’t use it for anything that you need to lift up off the hook…like a towel or piece of clothing. You could permanently glue the pieces together, if you never want to be able to remove the hook from the wall. No idea how Target managed to let such a useless product be sold.
