72" Rust Resistant Shower Curtain Rod - Threshold™

Giving this 3 stars because it's sturdy but not entirely renter friendly. I had this in my apartment for 5 years and never had any problems. However, when I went to remove it the rubber ends stayed stuck to the wall and will not come off. This will probably be taken out of my rent deposit.

Don't buy it not worth it!

Within months the glue dries out and the thing won’t stay up. The “tension” mechanism doesn’t actually work! Don’t waste your money.

I bought this curtain rod as a temporary piece while I wait for a permanent rod to be installed in my bathroom renovation. This stupid rod falls down within minutes of installation. I've had it two days and have rehung it 5 times now. The sticky strips do not help hold this at all, they are just leaving residue on my new tile each time the bar falls. I bought this in black and each time it falls, it's been leaving black marks on my new white shower tile. This is going straight into a landfill.

The sticky tape dries up and then the curtain falls down. Waste of money

Sticky ends are not helpful. Doesn’t stay up without them though? Too expensive for the quality.

Bought two of theses and they literally just fall down for no reason don’t waste your money

Lost its tension. Inoperable. Don’t buy it.

I didn't think it was going to be fancy when I looked on the website. I'm glad I bought it because it looks fancy and it was easy to install. You can't beat the price for such a great quality. Love it

Keep falling down the end is not sticky enough. Cheap material

This rod stayed up (mostly) for about 2.5 years in my apartment. A couple of times it fell down and I was able to reinstall it. However, this time around it seems like the “tension” part won’t work anymore and the sticky ends are long gone. I was happy with this for a while, but I don’t think a shower rod should lose its functionality after a couple years, so I wouldn’t particularly recommend it.

This rod will not stay up as you can't get it to stick to both sides of the wall. The instructions provided do not work to get the rod to be firmly attached. I've installed a dozen shower rods in my lifetime and this is the first one that really doesn't work. If it does work, my apologies to the company, but this rod is way too complicated. I recommend people look elsewhere!

We needed to replace our old 8 year old shower rod do to it rusting. We decided on this product at the store. I wish we would have looked at reviews first. The rod has fallen several times already - the 3M sticky ends are already gone - I cannot even imagine what those would do to a painted wall. Complete waste of money. Our old rod had like silicone style grips at the end with much better tension. This one we just got is garbage.

AWEFUL. When installing the rod doesn’t lock into place holding the size. Literally waste of money.

Terrible quality. Never stuck to the wall and can’t even get it to fit.

Should have read the other reviews and saved myself 30 mins trying to get it to work.. impossible!

The worst shower curtain rod I’ve ever used in my life. The ends spin right off without even touching them, the sticky pads wore away before I even got it up on the wall, and the rod refuses to tighten or stay at the length you need it to. Absolute waste of money

Okay, so I read reviews only AFTER I purchased this rod. I bought it for the look and the price. The reviews about installation were right...boy was it challenging. I read the directions and gave it a go, unsuccessfully. I couldn't get it to lock no matter how much I turned, the tape/glue on the ends rubbed off immediately due to all the movements I made during my trying. I lost my patience and took a break and watched to how-to video. I tried again. I don't feel like I did anything differently EXCEPT, turning both sides of the bar TOWARDS me after my attempt to lock the skinny side. The rod is not exactly where I want it but I'm afraid to take it down for fear of not being able to accomplish it again. It feels secure right now and I love the brushed nickel color. I don't know if I'd buy it again unless I knew I had help to install and if you buy this, I hope you have your patience intact for the day.

I really wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I spent all week on a bathroom refresh and was so excited to put in the finishing touches. It looked good for the 4 hours it was up but it’s exactly like the other reviews said. It crashed just as I got in bed. Ends won’t stay on. They literally just spin themselves off without barely even touching it. Won’t tighten and the sticky is already gone. Huge waste of time and effort. DO NOT BUY. This thing I such a rip off.

Dangerous. Target should recall these. I bought two of these. They are not really tension, just held with cheap sticky tape. Both rods fell within months. One of them fell on me while bathing our baby. If that rod hit my child’s head this would be a lawsuit instead of a bad review. DO NOT BUY THESE.
