Nice but packaging error led to minor damage
This is a nice and sturdy bookshelf. It was easy and fast to put together PLUS it fits perfectly in my closet! I’ve been using targets cubby storage bookshelves for years as an organiser for my folded jeans- and this one is the best so far! I only give one point off as it was broken when I opened the box- it had a puncture/ caved in spot around the size of a quarter on two of the baseboards. Honestly this doesn’t bother me too much as again, it is for my closet. I just wish I didn’t pay full price for a damaged item! Overall, I would recommend this product completely and it will be perfect for your space- for books, clothes or more!

Competitor has better quality
The Ik*a Kallax version is much better quality for the same price, both in terms of the painted white finish and the sturdiness of the furniture. I have owned and assembled both versions. Also this brightroom version has a proposition 65 warning that it exposes you to formaldehyde gas. That was a big no for a child’s bedroom so I returned them. These are much more wobbly than the competitor version and would definitely have to be anchored to the wall, even if you don’t have small children. They do make that very clear on the instructions though and mounting hardware is included. Instructions were easy to follow.

I am a scrapbooker who works in the 12" album size. I purchased a 9-cube and a 6-cube in the 13" bin size. The 13" bin size is perfect for both the supplies I use and the scrapbook albums themselves. The 9-cube was a little more difficult for me to assemble than the 6-cube, but definitely worth the muscle effort it took to put it together.
