Book Synopsis
Is the God of the Bible still relevant today?
There has never been a time when God should be more relevant! He alone can answer our deepest questions: Why am I here? What is my purpose? How to establish a relationship with Him?
Michael Borthwick, an analytical thinker shaped by his mechanical training, responds to the question of God's relevance in today's world with an easy-to-understand handbook, skillfully weaving biblical scripture with personal life experiences to present an authentic answer to why the God of the Bible makes sense for today's society.
The Handbook covers various theological topics, including some listed below:
- Who is the God of the Bible
- God's unconditional love vs God's justice
- The Fall of Mankind - Judgement & Hell
- Biblical Faith & Salvation
- Heaven & Eternal Security
The Handbook also covers personal topics such as:
- Finding a relationship with God through near-death experiences
- The transformation of the heart after salvation
- God's grace and hope for broken people
- The corrosive nature of bitterness and regret
- Struggles with accepting forgiveness for severe sins

Review Quotes
LOVE this book! Jennifer Payne: I just read A Mechanic's Handbook To The God Of The Bible. It explained theological concepts in an easy-to-understand way with relatable examples. It challenged my preconceptions about God and made me think more openly. I recommend it for insightful and thought-provoking reading, especially if you are a new Christian or want to learn about the things that God can do. Beautifully written story about life and finding Christ!
Lisa R: This is an amazing book which tells the story of one man's life and relationship with Jesus. I love that it is filled with Scripture! It is also written in such a way that believers and unbelievers can greatly benefit from it.
Lisa Thomason / Awesome Book: This book describes how the author relates his experience with God as it pertains to mechanics. The author tells how he came to know God thru the death of his brother. This is not preachy but does explain in easy-to-understand terms how we can relate to God.
Ashley R: The Author did an excellent job telling his personal story and testimony about his journey to Christ. Heartwarming book that brought up important questions about Jesus.
John Ditzel: It's obvious the author has a very deep and personal relationship with Jesus. He uses all the very personal peaks and valleys of his life to explain the Scripture verses so clearly that anyone can understand that the God of the Bible loves and will endure with very flawed and sinful people. This gave me great hope and knowledge that the God of the universe knows me and will forgive my sins and allow me to enter the gates of Heaven one day. I definitely recommend this book to anyone seeking the truth about God and the Bible.
M Bowersox: Sharing God's Word. The book was amazing. This book is what has been missing to explain in common reason, the importance and reasons why you need Jesus in your life and take him in your heart. You make it so people can now understand the Bible and its importance. It gives the reader the reasons why they need to come to the Lord.
I got 3 copies of your book and took them to the County Jail and gave them to the Warden, and asked him to place the 3 books in the Library for the inmates. My hope is an inmate will read your book and find his way to the Lord. He will get a better understanding of the Bible and not be discourage trying to navigate the Bible. I have talked about your book at my church to everyone. My hope is the member's might get a copy for family or friends. I am going to try to keep a copy in my vehicle to have ready to give to people I meet who I believe need your book to come to the Lord.
Dee: This book was a good read I really liked how is was more of a self disclosing. It was more a story of how he went from a non believer, to a believer that is not afraid to share his life experiences.
K Collins: This is definitely a great read! I 100% recommend it. I really enjoyed this book! I could relate to the struggles he spoke of, as he struggled with his relationship with God. He takes you through his journey and how he overcame his own personal issues, which include his struggle with sin and a motorcycle accident he had that he believed only the grace of God had saved him.
