Good value pick
It’s a nice car seat, sturdy construction, safe comfortable. You get a lot of features and comforts considering the price. Definitely a very good value pic. Few things Joie could improve: I am not a huge fan of straps and the controller for it. Seat is bulky, in a sedan it takes up lot of space in the backseat and front seat also needs to be moved forward a bit. Can’t change angle once it is installed. You need to select angle first then install.

Ticks all the boxes EXCEPT the leg straps/leg cushion/overall leg area is very squished. My baby is only 7 months and is already so so squished and looks uncomfortable because of the design of the new side impact panels mixed with the awkward placement of the leg strap (they almost are down to her knees instead of upper thighs). Listen to the other reviews. It really is that bad. Ruins a great car seat.

Not chunky baby approved!
I wanted to love this car seat - it’s sleek, loved the features and the overall safety behind it. However, we have a chunky baby with big thighs and this seat was just not it for him. The mandatory thigh bolsters to 40lbs were already so beyond tight on his 22 pound body. I can’t imagine when he gets any bigger! It seemed super uncomfy for him and I was nervous I was going to pinch his skin. If you have a leaner baby, this would work for you.

The Side Bolsters are a Deal Breaker.
The color is gorgeous and I wouldn’t doubt this is great for a small baby or an older child. However my 21lb 10 month old fits SO TIGHT in here because of the side bolsters (which have to remain there until 40lbs). If I had heard more about this issue I probably wouldn’t have purchased this seat. My daughter is so uncomfortable in this seat and cries every time I put her in it. She is so snug already, I can’t imagine adding another 20 lbs. I’m so sad because this was so expensive and we now have to take a huge loss and find another seat she’ll actually like.

Price ERROR
I'm writing this review because this not about the product itself. The product is wonderful, but the store where I bought it @FEDERAL WAY. So before my husband and I went to the store we checked the prices of course so we are ready for the cost, so anyway. Now we went to the store to get this product and my husband saw the tag it is cheaper the price than the original price So I checked the item number and name EVERYTHING on the tag and the paper on the box of the product EVERYTHING WAS EXACTLY THE SAME. So this lady in the self check out called someone to check it and guess what that lady not sure if she is a manager or whatever. She remove the tag and saying that price is only for display. And I said okay I will take the display instead so it will be cheaper for us but she said "no the display is not for sale". Of course other mom and dad will do the same like what we did to get a cheaper price. We were insisting that lady to give that price. Its their ERROR not ours. I said if that tag is in their and the item and the tag is EXACTLY THE SAME That should be the price, but she said there was an original price where is the box. "I GET THAT there was an original price but you guys have this tag here exactly the same if the item number I can let it go but this is not I Said" but She still didn't give us that price. SO STRESSFUL FOR HAVING THIS KIND OF LEAD OR MANAGER WHATEVER! It is your error SO DISAPPOINTING!! We don't want argument so told to my husband just let's go. Photos below.

My daughter is so much happier in her new spinning seat! This was a great upgrade for me as a SAHM who is taking baby everywhere I go! One star off because this is really difficult to remove the covers to clean and reassemble. Be forewarned if you have a blowout baby like we do!

Wonderful car seat!
We wished we had bought this sooner. Our 6 month old is so comfortable in it and the spin feature is so easy for transfers. The only improvement I would recommend is a removable sun canopy attachment.

Love this 360° seat
I originally ordered a Turn to me but realized it’s not 360° seat so I returned it and purchased this seat. We now have 2 Joie Matcha spin si’s because of how easy it is to get our 99th percentile 1 year old in and out. I read some of the reviews about how the side cushions squeezed the babies legs and we don’t have that issue. The side cushions will be removed at 40lbs and for right now it keeps him snug in the seat. The reason I took a star off of the installation was because it was difficult to get the seat installed to where the indicator was within the parameters. I also had difficulty reclining the seat but my husband had no issue. My baby likes the seat and seems comfortable in it. I love the rotating feature so much

I bought this to have in my car for my 1yr old grandbaby. This makes it sooooo much easier to put her in and out of the car. The swivel is so nice! No more twisted back or bumped baby head. Just easy sit in and swivel her around.

Almost great...stiff narrow bolsters are a deal breaker
I was so impressed when I received this seat. It is clearly a high quality, solid seat. The install was very easy and using it is very intuitive. The spin is so easy and smooth. There is one big issue that became a deal breaker. There are bolsters on either side in the seat by the child's thighs. They are quite stiff, not pliable, moveable, or otherwise adjustable. Further, they cause the seating area to be extremely narrow, so narrow that it was a tight fit for my 25lb 11 month old. The manufacturer does not allow removing the bolsters under any circumstance at all until a child hits 40lbs (I called to double check). I met someone else who recently purchased this seat and had to return it because her 37lb daughter could not fit between the bolsters. I could not imagine trying to squeeze a child larger than mine in. We couldn't keep the seat because of this and it truly made me sad because it's difficult to find a seat of this quality at this price. I hope the manufacturer will consider a redesign that would allow the seat to have more space or to remove the bolsters at a lower weight while still passing all required regulations.

Great Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My experience with this product has been fantastic. I had previously been using a base + baby carrier, and this has undoubtedly been a quality of life upgrade. Out of the box, I was intimidated by the install - my previous system required two built in straps to two car seat anchors & that was it. Given the multiple modes of the Matcha, the install was obviously going to have uniqueness. The instructions were very clear, easy to follow, and supplemented by directions on the seat itself. The indicators are clear and in plain sight, which helped to give confidence in the accuracy & safety of the install. I much prefer the "bubble" level indicators I was again impressed when I had to move the car seat from one car to another - the transfer was much smoother than I expected, just required a bit of rear belt tightening and we were all set. One drawback that I have found, which may be more related to my older SUV, is that the car seat, in rear facing mode, is very long. The front passenger seat has to be moved fairly far forward in order to make room for the car seat. Fortunately the frequenters of that seat are short so it hasn't caused major issues, but the time I sat there, was certainly tight. For that reason, I am extra looking forward to transitioning the car seat to a new mode, once our child's size allows. Both grandmas have since bought Joie car seats

Hard to install securly and bottom harness straps awkward
Car seat seemed so promising and looks like a nice upscale seat. However, we struggled to get a tight install in our vehicle even with the lock off feature. The bottom harness is also awkwardly too far from the hip, it instead sat mid thigh on my one year old and appeared to be rubbing him when tightened. It did not look comfortable at all, especially as he continues to grow. While I did not put a newborn in this seat, I'm not sure how a baby would fit in here given the bottom placement, the straps would be close to the baby's knees even with the insert. Given that we hope to use this seat for 4-6 year minimum, we want it to be comfortable and fit in a secure manner, so we ultimately returned.
