This narrow all-in-one car seat grows with your child from rear-facing harness (5-40 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb). We tested our lightweight 3-across car seat in every configuration, to help ensure your growing family can fit in your vehicle, even with children of different ages who ride in different modes, or when paired with select other Graco car seats. Integrated belt lock-off makes for easy vehicle seat belt installation in forward-facing mode, and allows you to position your seats to maximize space with 3 across. Graco’s exclusive push-button InRight LATCH provides an easy, one-second attachment with an audible click to help ensure secure installation. We made thoughtful design choices to make the SlimFit3 easy to adjust with 3 car seats in the back seat. The No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness to 10 positions with just one motion for just the right fit. Easily adjust the 4-position recline for a better installation and a comfortable ride. The Rapid Remove cover comes off in 60 seconds, without uninstalling the seat or removing the harness, and is machine washable. Plus, the SlimFit3 is slim enough to fit 3 across, but spacious enough to keep your growing child comfy. Breathable mesh AirFlow channels provide improved ventilation to keep your child cool and comfortable. Two cup holders are designed to work with the three-across configuration to keep drinks and snacks close at hand. A: Thanks for reaching out with this great question! The SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is approved for installation with inflatable seat belts. However, when installing do not use the shoulder belt lock-off with inflatable belt systems. We hope this helps!

A: I think the biggest thing is the newer version (LX) is updated to meet the new federal standards that are coming into effect in June 2025. If you look at the rear facing weight requirements, the LX requires rear facing until 26.5lbs whereas the plain slim fit is a lower weight. Side impact standards are also updated. Most old car seats not updated are still safe to use, but they won’t have the updated safety features. Hope this helps!

A: I believe it does! If you look at the weight requirements for rear facing, it’s updated with the 26.5lb requirement for being flipped forward facing. The older plan slim fit model is not.

A: Thanks for your interest in our limFit3 LX 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat! This model does have a push-button InRight™ LATCH to use in rear and forward facing 5-point harness modes us to 45lb. When this model is in booster mode you can use the InRight™ LATCH up to 100lb since the weight of the child is what is keeping the seat in place, and the vehicle's seatbelt is what is securing the child. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this car seat it. It’s slim enough to fit an additional 4everdlx car seat and a snug ride lite car seat in the backseat. It is super compact but also super comfy. Baby falls asleep in it almost every time he’s in it. I love that it also has airflow channels to help ventilate and keep baby comfortable. I wasn’t expecting that feature but it is nice since little guy can get kind of sweaty at times. There is only two recline positions for rear facing which I was somewhat skeptical about because on the 4everdlx there is 3 and I always used the number three recline for my rear facing toddler’s 4everdlx. After installing I found that the number two recline worked fine as the slim car seat actually sits lower to the seat than has a lower base profile than that of the 4everdlx. Overall this is a beautiful car seat. I got the grey. It is just as study and as just as comfortable if not more than our other 4everdlx. You can absolutely fit 3 across easily in a midsize suv no problem. I would purchase again.

Our daughter used to cry and fuss in her infant seat and that all but stopped with the change to this seat. Easy enough to open and release the straps and install was super easy. I love that the cover is easy to remove for cleaning. I wish they somehow labeled that the release button is under the fabric so that it would be more obvious. And I didn’t like the rubber underside to the little shoulder pads. Wouldn’t be comfortable if wearing a tank top.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had a really good run with this carseat! It delivers well on its promise to be able to fit three of these across comfortably. For context, our car has an official 51.6 inches of rear hip room, and we chose this over other "slim fit" carseats out there because of its lightweight yet sturdy build. We have two of these, and a different slim seat for our older kid, but this one takes the cake. The padding comes off very easily to clean up any accidents (we've run it in the delicate cycle with great results), and is very easy to put back on securely. With little ones, that alone is a great feature. Most importantly, the carseat just feels safe for our kids. I would recommend this to anyone who wants their child to be safe, while making the most out of their seating space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this car seat for my 2013 Mustang because it had the smallest base and it would fit good in the deep bucket seat construction, unlike wider base seats that would bridge across the bolsters and leave a large gap underneath. My biggest knock on this is the angles don't work perfectly with the recline settings for the different ages and stages and the seat doesn't sit flush against the seat back in the car, regardless of how snug I get the tether/anchor belts pulled.. That being said, it looks great, my daughter loves it, it's easy to use, and now she gets to have a lot more rides in the "fun car!"
