The Graco® SlimFit3™ LX 3-in-1 Car Seat is our slimmest design that fits 3 car seats across, saving space in your back seat without compromising on the safety you trust and the features you need. This narrow all-in-one car seat grows with your child from rear-facing harness (5-40 lb) to forward-facing harness (22-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb). We tested our lightweight 3-across car seat in every configuration, to help ensure your growing family can fit in your vehicle, even with children of different ages who ride in different modes, or when paired with select other Graco car seats. Integrated belt lock-off makes for easy vehicle seat belt installation in forward-facing mode, and allows you to position your seats to maximize space with 3 across. Graco’s exclusive push-button InRight™ LATCH provides an easy, one-second attachment with an audible click to help ensure secure installation. We made thoughtful design choices to make the SlimFit3 easy to adjust with 3 car seats in the back seat. The No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust™ Harness System allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness to 10 positions with just one motion for just the right fit. Easily adjust the 4-position recline for a better installation and a comfortable ride. The Rapid Remove cover comes off in 60 seconds, without uninstalling the seat or removing the harness, and is machine washable. Plus, the SlimFit3™ is slim enough to fit 3 across, but spacious enough to keep your growing child comfy. Breathable mesh AirFlow channels provide improved ventilation to keep your child cool and comfortable. Two cup holders are designed to work with the three-across configuration to keep drinks and snacks close at hand. Fuss-free harness storage pockets conveniently hold the harness out of the way while your child gets in and out. Removable, plush head and body inserts help to keep your infant feeling cradled and comfortable. The steel-reinforced frame provides strength and durability for years of use, and EPS energy-absorbing foam provides effective impact energy management. Car seat was purchased for airplane travel and for use in our rarely used second vehicle. While it was lightweight, it unfortunately did not have a belt lock for rear facing installation. Our car is older and does not have the latch system, nor do all of the vehicles where we were traveling to. When installed rear facing, it literally would tip over. I even went to the hospital to do a car seat safety check and make sure I was installing everything correctly. The seat would not install in a way we all felt comfortable with. Sadly, it didn’t work for us and I had to return it and continue to schlepp our 27 lb. Nuna seat on our trip. I should note, there is a belt lock for forward facing installation.

I wish the chest strap release button was easier to access (a simple flap in the fabric would be helpful). We have a Graco 4-in-1 too and I think that one is a bit more accessible. The cup holders on the 3-in-1are neat (they rotate open and closed) which might be useful as the baby gets bigger.

We placed two front facing next to a rear facing Graco Click Connect in our second row of the Subaru Ascent. They fit safely and the kiddos find them comfortable.

Hope that helps as living in the south baby/toddler won’t overheat during summer or get too hot during winter when they have warmer clothes on. Fits great in my second row of van. Not too wide or bulky but also roomy enough.

The material is soft and breathable so the kids don’t get hot like they did in their infant carriers. We have these two car seats and a larger Graco dlx 4ever all on the same row in our SUV with plenty of space. We will recommend these car seats to everyone!

Super easy to clean, all the covers snap off and have survived rounds of machine washing. It is easy to install, easy to adjust. Best of all though. It’s not massive. We can EASILY fit three across on a medium size sedan, even on a compact. If you put it in the middle seat, you’ll still have two very usable seats for adults on the back. Even on a compact. (Hyundai Elantra) I kid you not we have bought five of these. They are perfect for a caretaker’s car because it minimizes the impact on rear seat usability. They are so good, we even put them on the minivan, where space is less of a constraint. Buy this one. Trust me.
