Our Aberdeen Printed Faux Silk Room Darkening Cordless Roman Shade offers a modern and convenient update to your home decor. This roman shade flaunts a tonal gray faux silk textured fabric to create a stylish and beautiful, look and feel. Also achieving the OEKO-TEX certification, these curtains do not contain any harmful substances or chemicals ensuring quality comfort and wellness. A thermal foambacking on the reverse provides energy efficiency and a room darkening effect, for enhanced privacy. The cordless retraction mechanism makes the room darkening shade easy to open and close the throughout the day, while the detachable fabric face allows for easier assembly and cleaning by lightly shaking or dusting. Please note: The top face fabric is detachable from the hook and loop fastener, but is NOT fully removable. Ready to install right out of the packaging, this roman shade can be hung inside or above the window pane allowing you to find the perfect fit for your home decor. Shade measures 64-inches long and comes in 5 width options to suit multiple standard window sizes. Each roman shade is sold as a single and comes with a printed instructional guide as well as an instructional video available on site. Assembly is required.

Q: Experienced Designer wondering about fabric...The description says "Printed Faux Silk..." does this mean an actual backed fabric, resembling faux silk? OR more like a nice hotel type roller shade?

A: Hi customer, thanks for getting in touch. This Aberdeen Printed Faux Silk Room Darkening Cordless Roman Blinds is made of faux silk. Faux means not real, however this silk pillowcase is made from 6A grade 25 momme, 100% Mulberry silk and is carefully manufactured. Faux silk fabric is desirable for its silky appearance, ease of care, and cost. Hope this helps and enjoy shopping!

Q: Is it possible to modify the shades for other widths of windows? I would like to be able to do inside mount, but possibly on a smaller size window.

Q: If you want to mount this inside a 35.5" wide window, would the 35" shade be appropriate? Is there that kind of flexibility in the installation?

A: Hi MRB, thank you for your question. Yes, a 35" shade would work best for a 35.5"( inside width) window, since those shade comes only in inches. The shade itself can be mounted either on the outside or inside a window frame. The shade ( the fabric part) is 35" wide. If mounted inside a window frame, the 2 brackets are fixed onto the ceiling (top) inside the window frame, leaving a depth of 3 inches or more from the window. Hope this helps. Happy shopping!

A: Hi Cheryl, thank you for reaching out. Yes, this roman shade can be mounted two ways; either Ceiling Mount or Wall Mount, using the provided brackets. There're 2 steps for installation, "Mounting Brackets "and " Fitting the Shade & Securing the Headrail". We're sorry there's currently no video available for showing installation. His bedroom is facing the east so in the morning, it's always bright and sometimes it's disrupting his sleep. I love this cordless darkening shade because it's made of high quality materials and you can tell because it had make a big difference on my child's bedroom and sleep. I love that it is very easy to install, no need of special tools or expertise. I love how you have that it is cordless and easy to adjust. When you need it pulled down, you drag the ring at the back once and twice to roll it up. I also love that it's long and even more than the height of my window. The only thing that I wish I had done is measured my window's width so I can have the perfect size. Mine was tad bit shorter in width thus the curtains on each side. But even then, it is still highly recommended because of it's fantastic quality, it's value for your dollar and it serves it's purpose darkening the room. Pictures to prove.

It has the pull hidden under the shade and a valance on top to finish the look. It can be mounted inside or outside the window sill, so it doesn't have to be the exact width of the window.

It was easy to install, however we could not install it in the window frame as our windows are metal, so we had to install it above. Not a big deal. It is easy to pull up and down, very simple design. Looks great in our bathroom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice coreless shade, It's a shade but a curtain attached to the front and you have a pull handle on the back side of the shade, loke the old days but this one is very unique in such way that when the sade is up it has like a crinkled in it, it's so cute, I got the came but it sort of looks gray in my kitchen since all my cabinets are grey, it has a nice shine to it and it's like a tweed material, but it's very durable, really cute texture when you see it in person. It's was very easy to install we just attached inward into the wall but you can attach it upward as well. Great shade

There are no cords to get tangled and easier to clean. I am not used to being the handyman in my home, but just follow the clear directions and you can put this shade up on any window. I thought the directions and images were clear and easy to follow. And you can detach the top of the shade for easy access to the hardware by using the velcro fasteners and to give the top of the shade a shake to clean off dust. Although the entire shade cannot be removed. My shade is outside the window and they give you options to install inside the frame or outside. Once the shade is installed, you are ready to use, and it's so easy. The fabric reminds me of a heavy drape. The thickness is similar to that and I like the texture of the fabric. There are no cords or visible pulls of any kind. Just the beautiful fabric shade. To use, just find the plastic o ring behind the shade. Pull once and drag down to where you want the shade. To put up, just tug on the ring twice and it slowly goes up on its own and folds itself into the pleats. It's easy to clean by using a vacuum or by detaching the velcro from the top and giving a shake to release the dust. I would love this shade for all my windows and they come in different colors. I have raised and lowered this shade many times with no issues and don't ever see that I will have trouble in the future! This would be a great gift for anyone! It also does keep the sun from shining directly in my room if I decide to sleep in. I would highly recommend this shade. Pros: Beautiful, easy to install, easy to use, Cons: can't remove whole shade
