I've had this laptop for about a year now and it runs great, charger did decide to kick the dust about a month ago, had to replace that. Battery life definitely isn't the best, while gaming my laptop battery will last about an hour on draining games which isn't a problem with me because I don't travel with it anywhere. Other than those I've had no other issues, it does well at running heavy games like WOW or fortnite.

This laptop is incredible. I used to have a Alienware R15 (A15, something like that), and this one blows it out of the water. Its like the difference between an early 2000s computer and a modern gaming rig. Anyway, there hasn't been a game that I have tried to play that I couldn't! I have installed and played (at max graphics settings) Elden Ring, COD, Halo, Rocket League, and all without lag. There are some changes that I would like to see. I wish that there was 2 HDMI ports, or a display port, but instead I had to buy a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter (be careful which ones you buy, cause some don't work and some work 50% of the time). Not a deal breaker, just slightly inconvenient. The hard drive is a bit small if you are looking to install a lot of games (500GB fills up fast when each game is 20 GB plus).

Excellent equipment for that price! It has everything I need, I would recommend a SSD expansion (either sata or nvme it has 2 nvme slots!).

So im getting this in a month or 2 And i already know its gonna be good ive seen alot of reviews and it has amazing specs, also really existed for the keyboard with its rgb back light or whatever

I have owned several computers and I can say with confidence that this computer is most definitely the BEST computer I have ever owned. The Nitro 5 gaming laptop is like a laptop on steroids. If you're thinking about getting into the gaming world I highly recommend the Nitro 5.

I am not a gamer nor young, over 70, but work in a scientific field and have built several computers overtime. I did a lot of research on the best available laptop in the price range. Also own 3 other Acer laptops: one 10 years old, one 5 years old and another 3 years old. All are still functional; the only issue I have with the oldest 2 are: in the oldest case, the keyboard failed, but use an alternate keyboard and the 5-year-old has a few keys that are a bit sticky. Despite the keyboard issue, I chose ACER, because they offer a particularly good quality product at a reasonable price. I owned HP, IBM/Lenovo and Dell which also had issues, so I had no problem purchasing Nitro. It has terrific processing speed, a high-quality build and overall excellent performance so far. For employment, I have an HP EliteBook Laptop with Intel I5 vPro processor vs the Nitro RYZEN 5000 Serices 7. It is no contest on speed & performance. I wish I had Nitro for some of the more sophisticated simulations we run. Will follow up in 5 years.

worth every penny , storage is a bit small but easily upgrade-able, play games like cyberpunk 2077 no issues, overwatch runs at 144fps max settings, gta V with HD mods looks amazing

I love this lapop. I was surprised just how cool things are. My favorite part is the rainbow effect under the keyboard. This computer is super fast and looks great while doing it. I dont do much gaming on a laptop and i didnt buy it for that. After using it though i may very well start. The only draw back is when the laptop isnt plugged in it does drain the battery pretty fast. I was expecting the 10hr life and only get maybe half that. I have set some options for optimizing and saving power and tha seems to help. Still no 10hrs though. All in all this is a great computer.

I've had this laptop for almost 2 months now and it does everything I want it to. I'm not a huge gamer, but I do give this a workout with Paradox games and this machine handles them with no problems. It was a little more difficult to swap my games SSD into this than it was my previous Acer, but that was more down to tiny screws and fat fingers. Laptop came with Windows 10, but I was able to upgrade that to Windows 11 right away. The volume was extremely low to start with, but apparently that was due to needing to upgrade the DTX drivers. Once those were upgraded the volume was fine. The fans can get pretty loud when under load, but they are effective at keeping things cool.

Product has tendency of hinges to break, other than that I have no issues with product, some issues with updating bios and drivers. Mine blue screened after Bluetooth driver updated, and I had to hard restart

Before acquiring my nitro, I was seeing many reviews on video and on the blog and one of the things in which the latop was always penalized was because of its plastic construction, now that I have almost a month with my laptop I can say that those reviews were exaggerating A bit, although it is made of plastic, it is of very high quality and the only thing to complain about is that if you do not maintain a proper cleanliness you can leave marks on the surfaces that are easily cleaned with a cloth. Now let's talk about performance, it really is enough to say that the laptop is a beast in every way, and it is not surprising since with 16gb of ram and a ryzen 7 it was to be expected and if we add an rtx 3060 to the formula, you have an experience more than acceptable for laptops in terms of gaming and editing, with respect to the temperatures reached, the cpu can easily reach 90 degrees centigrade and the gpu almost equal to the same value, which reading for hours on forums and reddit I realized that this is normal for laptop of this type. Now the things that I do not like but that does not mean that the laptop is bad: The resolution is only full hd, I am not complaining but it could be better, I can live with that, in the end the screen has 144hz. The other point and it's no longer a direct problem of the laptop but of the manufacturer, it's the mediatek MT7921 network card, it presented a problem when waking up the laptop after a suspension or hibernation, in which the laptop did not recognize the card of network being affected the bluetooh and wifi functionalities, sometimes interleaved and other times at the same time, that problem at the beginning was fixed by restarting and placing that the laptop was never suspended, but reading on reddit I found a solution that so far has worked for me, ( Disconnect everything in the laptop including USB ports and AC charger, press the shutdown button within 60 seconds, the laptop will turn off in less but still wait 60 seconds, after that time the problem should be solved), Now the thread that I read referred to another gaming laptop from another brand but with the same card, and according to the solved answers of that thread with different models and brands of laptop, it is clear that the problem is the mediatek card and not for windows or Acer. The rest of the laptop is wonderful. Now a few tips and important information: My recommendation is that like all electronic equipment it should be in a good ventilated area, although its two fans are enough, try if your pocket allows it to buy a support for the laptop, which is comfortable for you and also gives you a better air flow to the laptop. (I bought one without extra fans) The other thing is if you have the opportunity to update the hardware hanganlo, more than anything adding more storage memory either using the extra space of the sata ssd or the m.2 slot and over time do the same with the ram, if not me I'm wrong this model with the ryzen 7 you can upload it to 32GB. Manage the applications that start at the beginning of windows, thus avoiding unnecessary slowdowns. To finish, I really love the laptop, although there were problems, these have already been solved, to play and edit it is perfect, accessible and powerful

Worked great for 6 days and than went into a restart loop! No fix over phone, will have to trade back! Now I'll have to reinstall a dozen programs. I just hope I won't have to rebuy them!!

Great product my teenager wanted a good gaming laptop and thus fits perfectly for the graphics he was needing.

Good value but usb c is junk, back light did not work acer refurbished and took my box

the product out of the box was very poor. there was little to no sound, rapid battery loss. I have 2 older nitro5 the battery last for weeks when it's in sleep mode. not the same with this one.
