The weather stattion display is powered by a 5V power adapter (included) and takes 3 AAA alkaline batteries (for backup; optional; not included). I bought model 01121, a year ago. Worked great for the first 6 months. Then outdoor temp stopped working. I reset it several times and it still does not work. Worse weather station I've ever owned. Shopping for another weather station and it WON"T be an ACU RITE.

We apologize that your weather station has encountered an issue within the one-year warranty, but we are happy to assist! Please make sure that you are using fresh batteries in both unit, then perform the following hard reset. Please follow the steps carefully as the order is crucial to the success of the reset. Hard Reset: 1. Bring both the sensor and display unit together and remove batteries from the outdoor sensor. Make sure that the Wireless Reception Indicator on the display drops to zero bars to ensure that your display was connected to the correct sensor. (If your wireless reception indicator already indicates zero bars, please proceed to Step #2.) NOTE: If your display unit continues to show a strong connection, there is another sensor in your area that your display is connecting to (either a neighbor's or from another of your AcuRite units). If you have multiple sensors, make sure to use a different ABC channel on each. 2. Remove the batteries and/or power adapter from the display unit. 3. Change the A-B-C switch on both units to a new, matching channel then press and hold the reset button in the battery compartment of the display for 20 seconds, if applicable. 4. Reinstall the batteries in the outdoor sensor. 5. Once the batteries are inserted you should see the red LED light blink approx. every 16 seconds on the front of the sensor. The red LED light should NOT stay on continuously. 6. Reinstall batteries and/or power cord into the display unit then immediately press and hold the reset button again for 20 seconds, if applicable. 7. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for approximately 5 minutes or until you see a solid sensor signal. If this does not correct the issue, the outdoor sensor may need to be replaced. We have reached out to you via email to provide warranty coverage. Please reply at your earliest convenience.

Beautiful display and very accurate
It took but seconds to hook up. Within seconds the outdoor remote was sending signals to the beautiful inside unit. I definitely would buy again.

Check power when in doubt
My display quit working . I traced it to the power outlet which was connected to a GFC plug that I didn’t know about. When the teapot tripped the GFC plug. Other plugs on the same circuit quit as well. Mystery solved. Happy with the product.

Loved the look didn’t read the outside temp. Emailed the company they wanted to use the warrentee and send me a new one. THIS WAS BRSND NEW! Sadly had to return it

I recommend this unit.
Great display. It had all the information I wanted. Pretty easy to set up. Had to use the manual mode for the pressure reading, but that all depends on the altitude where you live.if you want it to be accurate. No Problems at all. Install with the sensor. The proper batteries for your temperature conditions, put it in a proper setting and you're ready to go. I'm pretty happy with it.

Good weather station overall
Product works very well, is fairly accurate, and has a large screen. Happy with product overall. Biggest drawback is the screen quality. Viewing angle is very limited, and contrast is limited. Needs a wide angle led or oled type screen.

For the record I have 3 weather stations. 2 are this particular model, and a model 13043HD. All three units work on one outdoor sensor on band A. Never had issue with all 3 units except my wife thru away an outdoor sensor hence bought the second unit. Can't buy an out door sensor by itself it seems from Acu-Rite. Very good products overall.
