Q: Are these fried prior to packaging.?
submitted by Shelly - 10 months ago
A: Hi Shelly! Our potatoes are par-fried before freezing. This means they are partially prepared and must be cooked thoroughly according to the instructions on the bags before eating. If you have additional questions, please reach out to us at 866-484-8676 and reference Case #84766 so we can assist you further. Thanks!

Don't know what they did, but these once delicious fries are so greasy its ridiculous! They also have a strong, rancid taste, as though the oil used is old. Nasty.

Good. The Rosemary Fries are too salty. They tasted good but they were too salty and they had too much oil.

Great option for fries at home! Cooked these in my air fryer for a few less minutes than suggested (I find that I need to do for almost all air fryers recipes tbh so maybe my air fryer runs hot?). Great alternative to ordering take out.
Inaccurate cooking times.

We're sorry you had an issue with the cook time. Our Research and Development team utilizes multiple oven and air fryer manufacturers to help develop the cook times. They all differ slightly, so our packaging states that appliances vary and that you should adjust your cooking time as needed. If you have questions or need further assistance, please get in touch with our team at 866-484-8676 and reference Case 66038. We're happy to help!
Used to be our favorite

These used to be our favorite fries but then they became inconsistent in quality and taste. Now they are consistently not the same. They have a greasy texture and often terrible smell. Either had to throw away or return to store. Also not happy about containing canola oil instead of just sunflower oil. Very disappointed and will now have to find another brand.

These are pretty terrible. They are coated in a vegetable oil with a foul and strong odor. In the air fryer they smelled similar to some kind of old donut grease and it stunk up my whole house.

Love these fries. Put them in the air fryer for 11 minutes on 400 degrees, comes out really crispy. You can’t really taste the salt, but I add a dash of salt.

Out the hag, these fries were a little more oily than I was expecting; however, this works out great for air frying. I love house cut fries in general, and these are a healthier, more cost-effective alternative to Five Guys' fries.

I would definitely recommend these fries, they are lightly salted and a healthier option compared to some other brands. We have been buying this brand for years and will continue to!

What is it with companies changing their recipe on a good product lately. Bought twice recently and they are horrible. Ridiculous

We are long time buyers of Alexia fried but hadn’t bought them as much due to the price increase. Bought some recently and they are not the same. The fries are now very oily. I had to use paper towels to soak up the oil.

We have been buying these for years and today we were left with a brown, greasy mess my kids won’t touch. I actually thought they may have been a bad bag that had somehow been gone bad so I searched the internet to see if there were any reports at which point I see others commenting on the recipe changes and their similar experiences. You should see the photos of the paper towels I took post attempts to wipe off the nastiness.
Very Oily Now

We’ve bought these for a few years, and recently they’ve been very oily and soggy. It looks like they changed the recipe to promote browning? Very very oily like the cheap frozen fries, won’t buy these anymore.
