Do not purchase before trying on
Sizes don't mean anything. I purchased these as a gift for Christmas, but when it turned out these were a touch too small, I ordered a size up as a replacement for my loved one. Despite claiming to be two different sizes, they are exactly the same. The numbered sizing has no relation to reality. This is an item you will have to try on before buying if you have any hope of finding a pair that fits properly.

Warm yet comfortable
The ankle area allows some air in so your feet don't get hot. I went up a bigger size(large) so it wasn't tight in the toe area as the other boot brand these are replacing. They slip on easier too. I also like the supportive insole.

Brixen Boot
What a great company. I had ordered a pair of Large boots. They turned out to be just a tad bit small so I emailed the company for instructions on how to return them. A couple of days later I got a response from them stating that I did not need to return them and they requested that I donate them to a good cause, which I have done. They also noted that the full amount would be credited back to my credit card which too place within 48 hours. I really liked the boots so I ordered the X-Larges. I usually wear a 10 shoe. The X-Large with socks works great and they keep my feet and ankles nice and toasty warm.

Insoles are hard and cold.
They are nice looking and pretty comfortable, except the insoles - they awful, not sure what material is, but it is hard and cold when you put the slippers on.

Disappointing
Concept and look were very attractive, but comfort and quality of materials disappointed. The seam around the top of the foot protrudes significantly into the interior space, making a really uncomfortable fit around the toes especially. The upper materials are primarily synthetic, with only a trace amount of wool in the blend. The overall fit is loose, which lets cold air in down to your heels.
