Hi Olivia, Sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the Blink Mini Security Camera. To ensure your Blink Mini is fully functioning, you should have it connected to Wifi and to a working power outlet. During the set up process you should've downloaded the Blink app and connected the Camera. If you wanted to use the camera with Alexa enabled devices, the Alexa App is also required to be downloaded and the Blink Mini to be added to your devices tab. From your mobile device or tablet that you are using in conjunction with the Blink App, you should see the device and be able to access live view! Features like Live View and Motion Alerts are automatically available with Blink Mini at no additional cost, so the subscription isn't required. Incredibly glitchy. Only able to access the feed about a quarter of the time I’ve checked. Blink customer service is unhelpful. You get what you pay for, I guess.

I like that you can delete clips, the only thing I don't like is it's a little iffy when picking up motion but couldn't be anything from the light I have to the position it's in. Overall the best choice I could've made compared to others cameras I was looking at. Definitely recommend!

Frequently disconnects from WiFi for no apparent reason and doesn't reconnect unless there's motion. I shouldn't have to reset my modem daily for the camera to work. Our previous camera never had issues like this. Very disappointing product and would not recommend to anyone.

Loud and Low Quality

The white noise is incredibly loud even when on the lowest volume setting and the image is so blured. Also makes a clicking sound when it's on and detects motion. The camera keeps falling off the stand when I try to adjust it.

It lags. On occasions, it did not record us leaving or returning home. It also did not record during certain hours of the day specifically during the daytime. I noticed after refreshing the thumbnail in the app it starts to record motion again. I have to refresh it every couple of hours to make sure it continues to record our front door. I am returning this camera as it lags and does not record a full day.

Thank you for your feedback on the Blink Mini Camera. I’m sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with motion detection. The maximum motion detection range is approximately 20 feet for all blink cameras. Some factors that influence motion detection are the app sensitivity setting, camera placement, object size, infrared illumination and object temperature. Try these troubleshooting steps to see if it helps your motion detection issues: 1. Tap More (...) on your camera's thumbnail and select Device Settings icon. 2. Select Motion Settings. 3. On Motion Sensitivity, move the slider two or three points to the right towards R, for high. 4. Tap Save to save this setting. The higher the sensitivity, more motion will be detected. Note: slow network speeds can delay your notifications so ensure your camera has a strong network connection. If this information does not help, you can reach Amazon Customer Service 24/7 for assistance. You can reach them at 1-888-280-4331. I hope this information helps, thank you!
