Constantly messed up - i went to fire stick
I got this because it was supposedly so easy and had a clean look. My son said he used it. I trust him and I think it does work really well if you’re under the age of 50, but if you’re used to fire stick something about the Amazon it it seemed good but I messed with it and every time I turned it off if I turned it back on, it was constantly disconnecting and just messing up and I’ve got really fast five optic Wi-Fi got the latest one everything it just drove me crazy I finally just took it off. Just wanna warn you I would borrow somebody’s and try before you buy own - I can’t return it inside of the box and it’s just just a waste of $140 for me

Worth the money
Definitely worth the money for the upgrade from the Firestick. Although the firestick is more cost friendly, it only has 8gb of memory which was causing it to be very slow and laggy after a while. We decided to upgrade to the Apple TV for our living room and we do not regret it! It is so much faster, better sound quality and great video quality. The only drawback is there is no internet browser option; however, you can stream seamlessly from your phone which is awesome.

Would not power on after updating software!
Bought an Apple 4K it worked fine until I did a software upgrade rendering it useless at it would not turn on. This is what ending up working for me after issues with the Apple 4K and the Roku Ultra (faded, washed out live 4K): Buy a good TV with the apps you need/want and stream through it; for me the LG OLED. Set the picture mode to either Sports or Vivid, ramp up the color setting and the clarity and you will be happy.

The Best Media Player/Streaming Device I have every owned!
We have owned mutliple media players over the past 30 years and this the best by far. We have a Synology NAS Server, I had no problem connecting to, unlike the past players. The Apple TV 4K media device was the easiest to setup. Simple to navigate around. Apps are easy to install and unistall. Oh yeah, the picture quality is GREAT! I could keep going, but I think you get the point by now. Well worth every penny!

The BEST tv alternitive
Amazing device, I don’t have a smart tv so I need to use a tv stick on it and this was the best solution! Yes it is a little pricey but oh my it is so worth it! I have a Sonos speaker with airplay only and it cannot connect to any other device other than Apple, so that was huge, and you can seamlessly connect AirPods and Bluetooth devices as sound and it is so powerful as a device, you can play games and connect remotes for games like Xbox controller. This was the best option and solution for me and is the best tv right now!

slow after 18.2 tvOS
I used to love my 4K Apple TV, but now after tvOS 18.2 update, it’s super slow— worse than my 5 year old Roku :( Lots of input lag and shuddering animations. Apple quality control has gotten a lot worse since Jobs passed away :(
