Aquaphor Ointment is a white translucent to light yellow ointment. Color variations occur due to the nature of the ingredients in the product. Each of the ingredients in Aquaphor are tested and approved for their quality and safety. Color differences do not affect product safety and performance.

After reading positive reviews I bought Aquaphor and began using it while at school. Within the first two days of using my lips began to itch and burn even though they weren't chapped. My lips continued to swell and when I stopped using Aquaphor the allergic reaction from the Lanolin within the product still worsened. I had to see a dermatologist to perscribe medication and it took nearly a week for the reaction to go away. Aquaphor should mark that Lanolin, a product derived from sheep, is an allergin that is in their product.

Aquaphor is literally my favorite. It keeps my lips moisturized throughout the entire winter. I just put it in before bed every night and I barely need chapstick through out the day. I was using the CeraVe healing ointment for my cold weather dry lips and dare I say this is slightly better. I feel it actually soaks into my lips and makes them feel normal after a while, rather than just needing to reapply for temporary relief. You only need a tiny bit too, this will last a while.

Reviews are going rate this poorly saying it’s “overpriced and greasy” until you get the winter hands and this will be the ONLY product that saves your hands. I was on the overpriced greasy bandwagon when I was using this in the summer, but that is the absolute wrong season for this. This was the first winter where my skin felt like leather and started peeling badly. I’ve tried every lotion in my arsenal and nothing protected my hands. I used this before bed and I woke up with supple skin for the first time skin winter started. Don’t knock it!

We use Aquaphor for everything - chapped lips, eczema, diaper rash etc. I don’t like the cost of this little bottle, but it’s great for throwing into a small bag for travel. It works great, helps my daughters eczema by healing and soothing itchiness. My one daughter licks her lips in the winter and when we put this on at night, by morning the redness is gone!
