Q: Does it require water to make the air cold
submitted by patty - 1 year ago
A: no, it does not require water. the technology in the fan sucks in hot air and makes it cold air. adding water and ice makes it colder and adds the misting function. but works perfectly fine without the water and/or ice! ^_^
submitted byBritt - 1 year agoA: Yes, about a 1/2 gallon of water, I've been using distilled. It says it last 10hrs, but I think that's only in the lowest setting.
submitted byAlana - 1 year agoA: Yes, otherwise it works like just a regular fan.
submitted byDan10 - 1 year agoA: Yes, this unit requires water.

The product has received a significant amount of negative feedback from guests, primarily due to its inability to effectively cool a room and various operational issues. Many guests noted that it functions more like a fan than an air conditioner, with complaints about noise, water leakage, and the need for constant refilling. However, a few guests appreciated its cooling mist feature when used correctly, suggesting it may work better in specific conditions.

Works great to cool. It does go through water quickly and can leave a little puddle as it will mist and then spurt out more water spontaneously
Great for the cabin

The fan has been a great addition to the cabin where we don't have air conditioning. Great for those hot MN nights.

Living in an older home without central air we are always looking for ways to keep cool. This tower fan is amazing. It works well with the moisture and also without. It's very versatile and not overly loud. I like the tower as it doesn't take up much space.

I grabbed the Arctic Air Tower+ recently, and honestly, I’m so glad I did! It’s way more powerful than I expected for something so compact. The cool air kicks in fast, and it really makes a difference on hot days—especially in smaller spaces like my bedroom or office. It’s super easy to set up, and I love that you just add water for that extra chill factor. The different speed settings are great, and the Turbo mode is no joke. It also oscillates, so it cools the whole room pretty evenly. One of the best parts? It’s super quiet! I can have it on while working or sleeping and barely notice it. The LED nightlight and auto timer are really nice bonus features too. All in all, it’s a solid little cooling tower that does exactly what it promises. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something simple, portable, and effective!

Worked ok but not enough for the price for the first two weeks after that it stoped putting out the little mist that's supposed to help you stay cool and started leaking. Waste of money just buy a normal fan worth your money

My child purchased this fan with his own money which turned out to be a complete waste of money. We tried following the advised steps to return this item back to the company but was basically told there was absolutely nothing they could do about this item due to no longer selling this fan. Highly disappointing!

Stopped working after 2 months. Engine gave out. Not worth the hassle of trying to get it repaired by the manufacturer and the extra $17 I spent on Allstste insurance was useless as they won't do anything before the manufacturers warranty runs out.
