Q: Does it require water to make the air cold

A: no, it does not require water. the technology in the fan sucks in hot air and makes it cold air. adding water and ice makes it colder and adds the misting function. but works perfectly fine without the water and/or ice! ^_^

I think the price is higher than it should be. It does not stay cold for 10 hours! Not even close. It feels cool when the water is filled but it doesn't last long! It doesn't even last 30-45 minutes before you have to fill it up again. So the 10 hour thing is a lie. I wish it was a little bit stronger for the price. A hundred dollars for it is not worth it.

I returned it. It didnt get cold enough, was described as being able to run up to 10 hours per tank of water, not true. Also, the water tank isn't removeable, so when the blue tube that hangs in the tank got stuck behind, we has to take the thing about to put it back.
