For the amount it cools it is not worth the money. Even when putting ice in the water and the pad in the freezer the temp barely felt any different. Condensation builds up on the plastic vent and there’s a bunch of water at the base after using it. It also made the humidity in my room go up so now my room is hot and humid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Arctic Air Turbo Chill XL for a few weeks and it’s actually worked better than I expected in some ways, but there are definitely a couple of quirks to know about. First off, it’s not loud at all, at least for me. Even on higher settings, the sound is minimal and easy to ignore, which is a big plus if you’re using it in an office or bedroom. It also does blow noticeably cool air, especially when you keep the water tank filled and the internal cartridge cold, it really does feel refreshing when you’re sitting close to it. But here’s where it falls short: it does tend to spit little droplets of water out of the vent, which can get annoying if you have it on your desk near papers or electronics. I also noticed that if you freeze the internal filter insert before using it (like the directions suggest for maximum cooling), it actually causes the unit to leak water more than normal as it melts. So while freezing the insert makes the air colder, it’s kind of a trade-off because of the extra water mess. Final Thoughts Overall, I’d say it’s a decent little personal cooler for a quick chill if you’re not expecting it to replace an actual air conditioner. It’s quiet, blows cool air, and is great for personal use just keep a towel under it and skip freezing the cartridge if you want to avoid leaks.

Worked for a few months, but stopped working. The lights would come on, but very little air was coming out. Unfortunately, it did not come with an instruction manual or a QR code to one (red flag), so I had no clue how to troubleshoot this. Even when it worked, water would get everywhere and soak my carpet from time to time. It was also very loud. Tl;dr: Don't waste your money. Just but a box fan.

The vent won’t stay closed..it’s not snapping as it should..soo annoying

Worked well at first but then after a week it started making a very loud clicking sound while running.

I could've spent $15 on a box fan and got the same result. The whole "blows cool" is literally a myth. With an ice pack, ice, or cold water- it simply just blows the temperature of the room air out. My ac doesn't work, it's really hot in here and i spent $80 just for this to blow hot air.

Motor burned out after 3 weeks.

One of the worst products I have ever seen and they absolutely outdid themselves with the false advertising!!! It is so loud! It leaks EVERYWHERE and sprays water out of the vents like a sprinkler!!! It does not cool much at all even if you freeze the filter and put ice water in the tank! All for the brilliant hefty price of $80 bucks!!! This is ridiculous!!! Please don't waste your money on this!

It was very nice for the first week, worked perfectly. After the first cleaning of it, it no longer works. It says to replace the filter every 3 months which replacements and backups can be bought on their website. Except their website does not exist, nor does the customer service email address. I needed a new filter after the first cleaning because it totally came apart. So now I have an $80 non working fan, just in time for the really hot summer weather. I couldn't be more irritated. It's like the company fell off the face of the planet. I also bought a smaller version on these for my daughter and it's still working just fine, however the filter also fell apart with first cleaning. This one now won't pull in the water from the tank (hose is still connected I can see) and when I am using it for the maybe half hour if I'm lucky that it slows somewhat cold air is only from freezing the filter first, once it's thawed, I'm burnt on cold air. Lastly, they boxes say how "they're so quiet!" Which is not truer at all. I don't recommend this at all!

Cannot believe how bad this item is!! It's good as a fan not an AC. Oh and it leaks water badly.

Does not work. It leaks from the bottom and it spits out water from the front.

This thing is literally designed not to work. There is a drawer you have to put water in…there’s a plug at the bottom of the drawer…the plug doesn’t fit the hole so there is a constant leak. It’s not a slow leak either. I never even got to try the thing, but I did get water all over the house because it was leaking like a sieve. I can’t believe this is on Target’s shelves. How does it get that far? Avoiding Target too for the inconvenience. Unbelievable.

Doesn’t work at all we’ve tried everything and it’s a very small room. For the price I’m disappointed.

It's good at its job, but it's to small and way to high maintenance to justify the price. Even at 30 bucks this would be a hard sell. 80 is insane to ask

Had to return it as it leaked all over the counter as well as sprayed water out of the vent as the fan was blowing.

Bought two thinking I would have a cool room. NOPE! Leaks and doesn't cool anything... major bust buy...
