A: The family edition has less cards, which is why its a little cheaper. I believe the family version also has more "family appropriate" cards that can be played by all ages.
That Sound Game is hilarious, chaotic, and super fast-paced—in the best way. You definitely can’t be afraid to make a fool of yourself, because it will happen, and that’s what makes it so fun. It’s a great party game that keeps everyone laughing, and kids especially have a blast with it. If you’re looking for something silly, energetic, and family-friendly, this game is perfect.
Fun game for the family! It’s pretty much charades but with sounds that make it a thousand times funnier! Definitely a game that brings good vibes to the family! Some of the words are a bit hard or out of level for younger kids, but you can always filter those out and make it shorter as well.
I love this game! We played at home just for fun, no scoring involved. Kind of like charades for your ears! You can make sounds to get the person to guess, just not words. If you DO act things out, habds have to be behind your back! Simple gameplay, unique idea!
Alot of fun brings the "That Sound Game" reminds me of an old game but in a much faster. Family night just got much fun and competitive. My inlaws absolutely love it and even want to get their own to play with their friends.
I cannot wait to play this at our next family game night! I haven’t gotten a chance to fully play the game but the directions alone have me excited! Seems pretty family friendly and will have the room loud.
The game says it is for two or more players, so when I received it to review, my husband and I tried to play. If you care about keeping score, it doesn't really work well for just two players since you are trying to get your opponent to guess the answer rather than your team. We haven't had a chance to play it with more people, but it does seem like it would be fun with actual teams.
I took one start off because I felt like the directions for the game were a little much and could be simplified. Other than that, this game is cute. I really like that the box is small and compact but easily fits all the parts even after playing the game and putting it back. If you modify the rules I think younger kids can play but it is still fun for adults too.
That Sound Game by Asmodee has quickly become a favorite in our house. My husband absolutely loves it—he was laughing and fully into the game from the very first round. It’s so easy to learn, and we had everyone making the funniest sounds in no time. I love how it gets even the quieter people at the table to join in and have fun. We’ve played it a few times already, and each round has us in stitches. Definitely a new go-to for our game nights!
The that sound card game is such fun my family & I have been playing this for hours it has so much advantages and fun and silly stuff which is fun to make this more fun I was surprised to thought I would have so much with this game but I have definitely enjoyed this one.
Lower Age & Less Players needed than the original version
If you love the original Asmodee That Sound Game card game that is for ages 14+ then you will love this family edition for ages 10+. The original game you need 4+ players and it took about an hour whereas the family addition can have 2+ players and takes about 30 minutes.
