Q: Does the chair only rock or does it bounce in the stationary/non-rocking position? In other words, is rocking consider bouncing here?

A: That's what I'm wondering, I just bought it and it doesn't seem to bounce. Personally this is the worst thing I've bought for my baby. Also this price for what it doesn't do astounds me.

A: The vibration and sound is one button. They are turned on and off together and are not able to do one without the other.

A: Davey, thanks for your question! The Alpine does not bounce by itself. The baby’s movement will provide motion in the bouncer, or you can gently bounce it yourself. Hope this helps!

I don’t know if I have a faulty version but my play bar does not stay onto, even with a replacement sent to me. My 3 month old can’t touch her toys without the whole Piece falling to ground making it so inconvenient and frustrating for all of us.
Nice but for older babies.

I bought this device because researched suggested it is a bouncer and a rocker... However it really feels like just a chair... 1. The rocking mode only works if you constantly rock it with your foot, there is no continued motion otherwise... Also there is not enough room to place one's foot. 2. This is called a bouncer but there is no bounce at all. This really feels like false advertising. What this company calls a bouncer just means it isn't a hard stationary chair. 3. The music/vibration device is a nice feature, but one can't separate between the music and the vibration. I am keeping this because it was a gift that sent overseas, but this is not worth the hype.

I’m pretty disappointed that this was the bouncer I put on my registry. First, it doesn’t bounce at all. It kind of rocks, but not smoothly at all. The bar that goes over it with the dangling toys comes off so easily, my newborn was always able to pull it off. The music is loud and no way to adjust volume, it’s also pretty muffled, so it’s just annoying and not soothing. We ended up consigning this bouncer and getting a more colorful one with better toys that actually bounces. I wish I would’ve gone with it from the beginning.

I’ve used this for six months so far and really like it. To be clear, I don’t even have the music/vibration piece attached as I’m not interested in it. I just use it as a seat. But it’s easy to move, the toy bar is convenient, and cheaper than some of the more expensive brands.

The motor is extremely loud and you can’t just use the vibration mode without the music on. Even louder on a hardwood floor. Terrible product!

As soon as I opened this, I felt how stiff and scratchy the fabric was and it made all sorts of weird noises. I didn’t even use it and decided to return it because it felt so cheaply Made. Glad I did because these reviews aren’t great either!

Probably the worst babyshower gift I received and I didn’t even have it on my list. Please do not let anyone waste their money on this. It’s not a bouncer or rocker, it’s too stiff to be either. It’s just pretty to look at, the functionality is non existent. Don’t bother. Invest in a cheaper one.

I had this type of chair for my older kids and this was a must-have. Though this model turned out really disappointing: it has only 2 positions- 1)sitting (you can use after 5-6 months but seems very uncomfortable for the baby) and 2) horizontal position, which was ok only up to 3-4 months old. The panel with hanging toys is easily detachable, so baby removes it with one kick. In horizontal position it is very easy for the baby to get out of security belts and fall from the head side. With this chair you cannot leave your baby unattended for any short time.

It was easy to move and the house so we could keep an eye on the baby. The color was gender neutral so it’s definitely one of those things we can reuse later.

The only thing I like about this bouncer is that it’s aesthetically pleasing, other than that I hate it and so does my baby. It doesn’t bounce - I don’t think I could even bounce it as an adult. The “rocker” mode is very choppy and not smooth and you have to rock it yourself while your baby looks at you so bored with the two toys that hang down. It has one button (vibration + 1 song) combined. It turns off within 10 min. There is no vibration only mode. The toy bar - LOL never stays on. And has smacked me in the face twice. I just honestly wish I would have returned this bouncer. Instead I went to Target and got the $29 one and it’s 100x better.

Went to use product and when the vibration and music feature is on there is a load motor noise coming from the music box. You cannot hear the music over this noise.

Lightweight and folds down for easy portability/storage. The only downsides are it requires a “c” size battery that is not included and the leg sticks out. It was inconvenient to have to go to the store with a baby for a battery. The leg also sticks out the front. My husband and I have both stubbed our toe and tripped over it. I would have liked another switch to separate the music from the bouncing. Great quality and should last for years to come.

I absolutely loved this chair at first. We got two - one for upstairs where our bedroom and shower are, and one for downstairs where the living spaces are and we spend most of our day. One of the chairs stopped vibrating within a week. The other one was doing great, so I thought the broken one was just a dud. So we replaced the broken one with the same thing. The one that was doing great before is now broken. It lasted 5 weeks. Cute chair, love the colors, awesome when it works!!! But now that the other one has also stopped vibrating, it’s a really disappointing product and a total hassle to deal with while recovering with a newborn.

While this product is good quality, I would not recommend it. The vibration and sound are one button, so you can't do one or the other. Not worth the price.

It has a Bar that hooks in with toys. But the bar always pops odd so I just leave it off. It has a vibrating and sound feature. But only plays one song. It can sit up or lay flat. Cover comes off for easy washing.
