Q: What's a safe distance for mountings onto the crib. Are the lights over stimulating for infants will it cause seizures?

The bottom of the unit must be at least 7 inches (18 cm) above the top of the crib mattress. Always use only the included mounting straps (Perfect Fit Crib Attachment™). Never add extra strings, cords, or ties. If the crib side is adjustable, it must be locked in the highest position when the baby is in the crib. When used at least 7 inches above the mattress, the light doesn't shine directly into the infant's eyes. It offers four different modes, so you can use it with music and no lights or the drift off function, which will dim both the lights and sounds every 10 minutes to lull the baby to sleep.

    I'll start by saying that this is a cute toy. I have a 3 month old grandbaby. I keep her everyday during the week. She will watch this for about 5 maybe 10 minutes at the most. The price is a little more than I expected but I would pay it again.

    Breaks Quickly and Consistently.

    We had one in 2016 (with a clownfish instead of submarine) and it worked like a champ for 4 years. We got rid of it when the gears started grinding. This new version is terrible. We’ve gone through 5 of them in less than 2 years. They work for a month or so, then gradually start blowing through batteries, then the red light starts coming on right after changing the batteries, then it stops working entirely even with brand new batteries. EVERY SINGLE TIME. My son loves this and I wish with everything in me that it just WORKED. It’s very disappointing.

    Broke after 9 months

    Awesome while it worked. At around 9 months of use the animals stopped moving. I tried new batteries, changing the setting to see if anything jammed, no luck. Buy something else that will last longer.

    PINK TAX IS CRAZY

    Baby LOVES it! So that alone makes it worth saving me a few min to put things away or tidy the nursery. Haven’t run into battery usage issue like other reviews mention, though we are only using it for a few minutes at a time. I wouldn’t leave it attached to crib overnight because of how bulky it is just in case something happened. Dinging stars for PINK TAX cause that’s insane. $2 more for the same exact thing for girls, very disappointing! (I bought the standard color)

    The clip to attach this to the crib broke. I contacted the manufacturer Kids2 and the customer service rep said to just prop it on the table and oh here’s 20% to buy another. All I can say is I’m grateful it didn’t fail while the baby was in the crib. This would have been a serious injury. The toy is so heavy and plus the height would have added more to the force. The instructions said to not return it to the store but after my bad experience with customer service, I did anyway and Target took it back. I will go out of my way to avoid any Kids2 products. I don’t mind paying more if I have to.
