The only flavor I get from this is salt. No basil, garlic, olive oil (It's made with sunflower oil.) or any other flavors found in real pesto. Sorry I didn't just buy some fresh basil and make it myself.

Doesn't taste as great as other brands and they use sunflower oil instead of olive oil. I wouldn't buy this again! The pesto from Aldi has much better flavor and better ingredients and it's cheaper! Try that.

This is good! I'm used to the Classico brand pesto, as that's the one I've typically always bought - I think this Barilla one is on that same level, maybe even a bit better. This one has a nicer texture I'd say (as unfortunately I sometimes find little pieces of sticks or some odd bits in the Classico). It does have a couple weird ingredients (why spinach?), but the overall flavor is good and the olive oil they use is pleasant and smooth tasting. I pour it over pasta for a quick and easy meal, no other ingredients needed (but you could add some fresh Parmesan if you're feeling so inclined). I liked this a lot and will definitely buy again.

I had purchased this pesto sauce and Raos pesto sauce to try for a recipe. The Barilla brand pesto was the winner with overall better taste. I have since purchased this sauce again to use. Highly recommend!

Way too acidic. This is not great pesto sauce. It will work in a pinch but if you have time to make your own or can find a higher quality premade version then got with that. I felt like I was eaten a bowl of lemons. Way too sour. I’ve had the creamy genovese version and it’s salty but way better than the rustic.

I hate giving bad reviews. However, I don't know why this has the high reviews. It was very oily, even after stiring it up in the jar. Thank goodness I tasted it before I ruined the pasta. It had a sour taste, nothing like my homemade which I was out of and was in a pinch. Definitely will not purchase again.
