I used to buy they're real and it was fantastic in waterproof, but had a break using YSL for a bit. Went back and bought a tube and what has happened- you apply and within half an hour has smudged under eye. No matter what you do or weather it happens every time!

Horrible! Raccoon eyes. I am VERY particular about my mascara and after a few years, I remembered how much I had once loved this one. Purchased and immediate regret, and definitely not the same formula as before.

I absolutely love the way this mascara makes my lashes look. They are long, dark and separated BUT the mascara always runs and smudges. No matter what I do, I will have black under my eyes and on my eyelids. I wish I could keep using it without it smudging so bad.

I love Benefit mascara and have used roller lash for almost a decade. I wanted to switch up my routine and decided to use another one of their macsaras, They're Real. I can't give this mascara a bad enough review. first, let's talk about the applicator. I was intrigued by the ball shape at the end because it looked great for getting into nooks and crannies. in reality all it does is gunk up your mascara and collect eyelashes. The wand is HUGE. Every time I try getting my corner lashes, I end up getting some mascara on my lid, and have to redo my eyeshadow. Now let's talk formula. This mascara is sticky and runny. it takes FOREVER to dry. if you sweat, this mascara will run and ruin your whole look. the formula is also super heavy and weighs down curled lashes making them look bleh. The sticky nature seems bad for lashes, I swear mine are thinning since buying it. lastly, this mascara is STUBBORN. Because of how bad it runs when you sweat you'd think it would wash right off. No ma'am. I can usually get my makeup off with just wipes, not this mascara. even after multiple washes and literally scrubbing my lashes with a brush, there is still large sticky pieces at the lash line that won't come off withiut taking lashes with them. I haven't worn the mascara in 3 days, have showered, washed my face, and still wake up with mascara residue under my eyes. I hate this mascara, and would buy a new tube, but im not the kind of person who lets 20-30 bucks go to waste. Never a good feeling when you splurge on a product and its not good..

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews— this product does everything within the description and looks amazing! Long Length and bright eyes! You'll be noticed! Just take time to apply carefully.. dah dah!!

One of my favorite mascaras, separates lashes, able to build up with out weighing down lashes.

If I could give negative stars I would. It goes on way too thick and it does not want to come off, no matter what I used. I wore it a couple of times, I had raccoon eyes by the end of the day every time. I am so disappointed.

Used this for many many years and never strayed from it. It now smudges and I have stopped using it a few months ago when apparently the formula had changed. Such a shame. Why ruin a good thing? Benefit please return to the original formula.

The reviews I read both in star ratings and in blogs/articles were the reason I purchased this product. Because of how quickly mascara gets used up I generally purchase a more common, less expensive brand. I was disappointed to find the quality was just not what all the hype inferred. Coverage was fine, durabiry and waterproof - good but it packed the ability to lengthen my lashes. Guess I'll stick to my old brands and save the $.

I have small lashes and have tried MANY different brands, expensive ones too, and ALWAYS go back to this brand. The mascara DOES make my lashes look longer, not clumpy, and stays on until I take it off.

And I applied after shaking the tube and it left a white cast on my skin now I used this before and it was great so what happened So so disappointed

Love the color and concept, so drying to lips it takes a week o replenish moisture. I use chapstick regularly and cannot imagine they it would do to someone else's go doesn't. Find a less drying formula and I will buy over and over.

My go to mascara for years. Try other brands and always come back to using this one !

This Mascara is my holy grail and will forever be. It is the only product i have found to fully give my lashes the best glow up!

Twenty four thousand reviews averaging 4 out of 5 stars would convince a reader to feel confident in this product but after using it several times, all it does is smudge. I’ve tried cleaning my upper lids, using concealer and powder and the result is the same. Black smudges under my eyes and on my lids. I’m so disappointed with this pricey mascara!

I'm not one to use a lot of cosmetics, so this product is just what I was looking for. Just enough color for cheeks and lips without the heavy feeling. If you're someone that just like a little color to brighten your complexion, this is the one.
