Bernzomatic MAP/PRO High Heat Torch Head TS4000T

Lights instantly. Use to anneal brass rifle cases. Wonderful cigar lighter.

I used it 5 times, the 6th it failed. Not even a week old. Perhaps I got a Monday model.

We used our TS4000 daily in a high school metal shop for 14 years. With multiple users every class, every day.... so conservatively 20 students X 8 courses X 85 class days X 14 years = 190000+ uses! We recently replaced the torch when the igniter would no longer work... unfortunately with a much lesser and more awkward to use TS3500 as the retailers in our area did not have a TS4000 to replace it with. If it can stand up to constant 'teenager' use, (and my use), its gotta be tough. Highly recommended product with no issues despite never disconnecting it from the tanks except for changeovers. Excellent value.

The product functions fine in terms if producing fire, however the trigger lock safety feature no longer prevents the trigger from being pushed. If such an important safety feature isnt reliable then this product deserves 1 star.

First of all I really like this torch. I use it almost every day in a heavy equipment rental shop. I have had the TS4000 for a about 4 years now and still going strong. CON's the SSTube kept coming lose after about a year. I put some BLUE Threadlocker on it easy fix. Once my coworkers have used it they steel it. Don't know if that is a con. But having to hut for it is. This this is built like a tank. it has fallen from pay loaders,excavators,Skid loaders and has been ran over a time or two.

When igniter quits working, look @ youtube for the easy fix.

It's amazing for when I hit my dabs, it keeps the nail nice and hot, and the flame is the illest

Had 3 Burnzomatic pistol panther torches (tourch with hose) and 2 without hose that lasted very short time, stopped lighting all in trash now. The reason I bought them was for the self lighting.

It is a great torch and I have used them for years. The problem is that when the tip finally burns out they aren't replaceable and you have to buy a whole new torch. It doesn't make much sense especially knowing the tip is removable. BUT, then that is a way to sell more torches, that's the business way not so much looking out for the consumer.

All Bernzomatic's product are top rate, and I'm sure the TS4000 is, as well. After LOADS of research and contacting Bernz customer service (ALSO top notch!), I bought the TS8000. The only difference is the TS8000 has a flame adjuster. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!

The electric spark broke almost immidiately and would actually spark every other time. Within 2 months it barely soarked and then broke all together. Waste of money for a cheaply built product. Great flame for those who set it on a shelf and use it twice a year. I used mine almost once daily to start a fire. Junk.

I like the fact that it's adjustable, although even at the lowest setting, it's pretty hot. May be too hot for certain projects but when you have projects you want quick, fast, heat, this will do the job great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who has 20 years experience with heat torches both for work and in DIY projects, I was impressed with this product. I have had older versions of the Bernzomatic torches and this did not disappoint. With the Mapp gas it works quicker than expected, and it isn't hard to get it to function the way it needs to function. It is solid and easy to operate. When you pull it out of the packaging, you screw it on the tank, click the button, and it works immediately just like that. It's a clean burn, allows you to burn precisely, and isn't awkward to operate.

I used it on copper plumbing pipes and freeing up nuts and bolts that were rusted. It broke the bond like magic and was more efficient than any other torch I have used. It really is useful for so many things. I would recommend it to anyone who has tasks that require high heat that needs to be used in a timely manner to complete the whole project in a timely manner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to other torches I've used, this Bernzomatic High Heat Torch is hands down the best. My favorite feature is the Run-Lock Button that is used to keep the torch lit for continuous use. Makes the job quick, I don't have to keep starting the torch in the middle of my project. The handle is very comfortable and provides a good grip. The torch is pressure regulated so even if I am using it in a position that has me tilting the torch, it keeps lit consistently. The buttons are easy to push and use. I've used this on several projects already including distressing some wood for a rustic picture frame I was making for my wife. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, you would not be disappointed.
