A: Hello it's best to hand wash using mild detergent. Dishwasher cleaning may cause pre-mature erosion of the cast enamel.

As beautiful as it is, this Dutch oven may not last long as I would hope, at least on paper. My 7.5qt arrives in triple boxes, very impressive. Upon closer inspection, there is no chip like some have encountered. However, you could see the cast iron surfaces have so many imprecision / imperfections that, even if you use this from low to medium heat, the (fragile) enamel surfaces will encounter uneven force, which may lead to higher chance of cracking over time. Unlike my Staub, which has lifetime warranty (I must say, frankly, is as useless as warranty on a tire), this one only has 60 days warranty. The good thing is that Target sells this at a very competitive price and has return period that is longer than the warranty. I would not recommend buying this at Amazon or most other sites, for example. Buy this at Target makes most sense.
