Q: When preheating, I’ve read that some enameled Dutch ovens require something in them (like water).... can I preheat this when it’s empty or does it need to have something in it?

A: Hi Sarah - Thanks for asking! Before the first use, fill the product with water and bring to a boil then wipe dry. After that, you can preheat the cookware over low to medium heat for 2-3 minutes before adding oils or other liquids. Keep in mind to never leave pans unattended during preheating. A: I have the same type stovetop. It has a smooth enameled bottom. I waited till I saw in person. They are perfect. Hoping they get back in stock so I can order a second.

Q: How do I wash this? I know it's not for the dishwasher, but can I use soap? Traditional cast iron you don't use soap or you have to reseason. This doesn't need "seasoned", so can I wash it with soap?

I bought this for my daughter in law for her birthday. When I asked my son if they had received it, his question was "did you send that?" I told him I ordered from Target and had it shipped. He said the box was a mess and the pot was in the box with no packing!! He thought someone they knew in town had left it on the porch. I have attached pictures, the pot handles are chipped. I sent them the receipt but the closest Target to them is an hour and half away! I'm so disappointed as this was a birthday gift!! I love the pot as I own one myself but Target needs to do better on their shipping!

I bought the mini dutch oven yesterday at my local Target. So cute! I went to clean and use it today and noticed the handle was already chipped. Such a bummer. So I took it right back to exchange it for another one and found that every single one of them were also chipped. Not worth it. I know these kinds of enameled cast iron can chip over time, but not before you even buy it! Not made with the quality I would expect from Magnolia and Target.

I’ve had this Dutch oven for almost a year. I’ve used it at least once a week. It is my go to pot since I can do everything with it. The handle chipped in a small spot when it slipped out of my hand and hit the inside of my sink though. Doesn’t bother me any. Haven’t noticed any other unusual wear and tear. I love this thing.

The product itself is lovely. The color is nice, it is a bit heavy but it is a dutch oven so that is reasonable. The problem is shipping. Target shipped this item with zero packing material. In a box with glass plug in refills. The sides of the dutch oven had dings, scratches, and the lid had no stoppers protecting it from getting scratches on the top as it was turned upside down for shipping. If you get, go to the store and pick it up. I returned this easily.

This dutch oven is SO cute but SO disappointing! I loved the style and color and was so excited to buy one, but it chipped instantly on the first use and again on the second one. I am not a person who is rough on cookware and typically can get several years out of a pan. This one won’t last a few weeks. Really awful.

I’m very disappointed with this pot. I’ve babied it. Washed it instantly. No dishwasher. No harsh chemicals or scrubbers and the enamel still wore off and begun to soak in the color of the food/ingredients. It’s horrid. I don’t even want to use it anymore because of the discoloration. Very disappointed.

I followed all instructions before use. I was going to make it to make homemade bread at 400 Degrees. My oven was not even done preheating and we heard an explosive pop. Open the oven after maybe 3 minutes and half the enamel gone. Bad product.

This piece is so gorgeous. The color is so unique and I especially love that it's carried into the inside of the item as well. It looks beautiful sitting in my stove. I've used it pretty much non-stop since I got it, in a variety of ways. So far I've no issues with sticking or chipping. I treat it the same as I do my Le Creuset and it's performance has been on par with it. My only complaint is for Target. I ordered it online and it came throw in a box without any packaging. It's a miracle it didn't arrive damaged.
