A: Interesting question, thank you for asking. The answer is no; a typical stoneware bean pot cannot be used on the stovetop because the direct, intense heat can cause it to crack or break due to rapid temperature change.

changed the bean game
I love heirloom beans, and cooking, problem was I could not get them to cook evenly no matter what method, stove, slow cooker, pressure cooker, oven. Bought this to do some Maine baked beans and they cooked so evenly. Threw in another pound of beans with just some aromatics and cooked in this in the oven and they also came out even. I'll never cook beans in anything but this!
