Loved, until it RUINED my stove
We have an (expensive) induction stove. There was some reaction with this kettle and our stove, and now our (1 year old) stove has a very obviously discolored burner from using this kettle! There was a crazy odor, and the next day we noticed a mottled, rainbow-like hue left from the kettle. Too late to return the kettle, and now this expensive stove is messed up! there is even a TEXTURE on the glass. if you have an induction stove DO NOT BUY.

This pot is beautiful. I have had no issues with rusting. Also, mine whistles. I did read the instructions and noticed if I pour too much water past where should, it will not whistle. Also the cream is getting some stains from leaving it on my stove top while cooking on the other burners. Still love the pot something to think about with the cream color.

Don't be scared!
I hesitated on this kettle after reading the reviews but have been very happy with it. The design really appealed to me and I haven’t had any problems. It’s true that you need to not fill it above the faint line you can see above the arches. This was also true of my previous Le Crueset kettle which would spurt water if overfilled. And you need to use a towel or pot holder to open the spout and lift it. I am able to use it with no problems and am very happy with it!
