What's a game built for all ages that's both fun and cleanup-free? Laser tag! Up to 4 teams can play! Turn your home, yard, or favorite park into a laser tag arena. Infrared receivers provide an interactive game with exciting laser tag experience! These blasters use infrared laser emitters to reach distances of up to 130ft. Each blaster features pinpoint accuracy, unique sounds, while extra interactive features bring the game to life and keep you playing again and again. Blaster Sounds: each firing mode has its own sound. Life Bars: lights on blaster and vest indicate health status. Each blaster has 3 lives, and each vest has 12 lives (1 bar = 3 lives, 3 bars = 9 lives, and 4 bars = 12 lives). Setup and play are simple, here's how it works: 1) Press "Team Selection" to set up teams, 2) Aim for targets on your opponent blaster or vest, 3) Don't let all the health bar lights go out, or you lose! Dodge the lasers! Vests and blasters are linked to keep track of the game and each piece of this collection is compatible with multiple sets.

A: Hello Terri, Thank you so much for your interest in a BCP Product! The infrared blasters use 3 AAA batteries each (not included) and the vest also use 3 AAA batteries each (not included). This item was a huge splurge for us to get for our sons bday gift. His and siblings were SO excited when they saw it. The blue blaster and the orange vest did not turn on what so ever. The others work, and they are having tons of fun, but cant all play at the same time. I looked into a replacement, only a refund is available, and now they are devastated that I will have to take them all back, and this set isnt even available for purchase at target anymore. I picked this one because it was a set of 4, and the vest vibrates which the others do not. So now to repurchase at target, there are only cheaper ones , 2 player, vests do not vibrate when hit, and I would have to buy 2 sets which will cost more. I was hopeful just to replace the broken ones but that is not an option. also unfortunate that it took 24 batteries to operate all pieces, and the range is only about 8 feet, not what was stated on the box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the older version of this a few years ago that work great and decided to expand our ability to allow more people to play than just 4 so we bought these. It's annoying that these are not 100% compatible with the older version. Plus they cost more than the older version ones and have fewer features. They're still pretty fun though.

I think I will purchase another set (or two) so that they can play with more friends simultaneously (bigger teams, or more teams per game)
