This is the worst frosting I have ever bought. It was runny right out of the container. If you need this as a drizzle, it’s perfect the way it comes. No need for warming or adding a thinner. The flavor is great but I will never buy this again. If I had the container still I’d return it.

I thought I was the only one that noticed the horrible change in the cake icing. I had some a couple of years ago, and it made me sick to the stomach, and left a horrible after taste in my mouth. Plus the taste when I belched was horrendous. I'm thinking, probably it was just the "whipped" kind, so I decided to give it another try this week getting the creamy type in vanilla. I wish I would've just left it there on the shelf. It tastes gross. Whatever happened to cake icing that taste and felt like icing like how it was back in the 90's? Betty Crocker, please go back to the old icing that you once had and stop trying to cut corners with cheap ingredients that tastes gross. #TIA

If I could give no stars I would. Not worth the money. Your icing won't stay on cake it is border line liquid. I will be making my own from now on. Very frustrating to work with...do better!

Has an artificial aftertaste to it. Used to love this to frost my cakes, but I’ll probably just start making my own, because it ruined the taste.

I am Soooo disappointed. I paid alot of money for this canned choc frosting and it is terrible. It also ruined the cake. More money wasted. I can't afford this waste. Had to throw the whole thing away.

I’m really surprised Betty Crocker is using high fructose corn syrup in its rich and creamy frosting. I won’t buy it anymore for that reason. It’s a bit amazing that such a huge company cannot come up with much healthier ingredients. Have you folks ever heard of stevia? Thanks!
1 reply from Betty Crocker team - 1 year ago
High fructose corn syrup is a type of sweetener, like sugar, that is made from cornstarch. It is composed of fructose, a sugar found in fruit and other plants, and glucose, another type of sugar. It has been approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We appreciate the time you have taken to share your feedback about our Betty Crocker Vanilla Rich & Creamy Frosting and will share it with the rest of our team.

Definitely a ZERO not a 1. Icing doesn’t hold its shape AT ALL. Turns into soup, I’m certainly not a professional but I couldn’t even imagine trying to add liquid food colouring to it. It’s probably been 2-3 years since I was able to use it for piping. Sons birthday tomorrow and because this liquid oozed out the sides the top of my cake cracked. Making my own from now on, not using yours. Please do better, so disappointed ☹️

I have been purchasing the vanilla rich and creamy frosting for years. The most recent purchases of the frosting have tasted different and I believe there is a different process in making the frosting because it doesn’t really taste like vanilla anymore. It tastes extremely artificial and chemically. What has changed? Please advise.

I won't buy bc frosting again. I like my frosting ON the cake, not puddled on the plate after ten minutes. Cake cooled for four hours, frosting was sliding off while it was being frosted. Why liquid frosting? Zero stars is the actual rating.
