We love our Bird Buddy. It gives us hours of entertainment as we watch and learn about the birds visiting our yard. Great product and the birds like it too! Occasionally we call it the squirrel cam as well.

For a product this expensive it should be easier to mount. It should include a mounting pole, or at the very least a guide on how to find one that fits in their provided slot. I’m actually really annoyed. $200 for the feeder $40 for a year of the app $30 if you want the perch extender $40 if you want the feeding accessories $40 for their basic wall mount thing (should be included). I’ll probably return it. Amazon has so many cheaper competitors with easier mounting options. Sorry bird buddy, improve your product.

This bird feeder is so much fun! You can add/invite others you know so they can also see the birds that visit. There are lots of cool features in the app and the battery life seems pretty great so far (you can change settings in the app to save battery life as well). The images and videos have been super clear and detailed for me so far. I've added a perch extender to it and a suet ball holder.

Setup was pretty easy and the camera is decent quality, but please don't rely on the AI engine for accurate identification of bird species. Lots of our local house sparrows have been misidentified in some hilarious ways (Google photos of a Tufted Titmouse and a Brown-headed Cowbird for examples of how wildly off it is). We're casual bird-noticers and the mistakes are pretty glaring to us, and what's worse is that there's no way to correct inaccurately-labeled birds. Consider yourself warned about the "smartness" of it and plan to feed photos into the Merlin app! The camera quality is fine.

I am not necessarily a bird person, but a friend was raving about their Bird Buddy so I decided to get one. They are very cool - I love that the app identifies the bird and it's always fun to get a notification that a bird has stopped by. The app is pretty user friendly, though if you get this for your parents you might want to help them set it up. 🙂 The instructions are very clear, but I know tech can be intimidating for some people. I didn't realize how many kinds of birds there are in my neighborhood. I highly recommend for a gift for anyone who has a backyard.

Awesome concept and technology! Set up takes a couple of minutes, the bird feeder comes with a pole mount so it’s easy to place it anywhere outside if you have a pole. I had it outside during 70s and 20s, and have not had any durability issues. The camera always works. Using the app is very easy, anytime there’s a bird you get a notification and you can watch it live. This is an awesome gift for anyone and would highlight recommend it!

We love our bird buddy. Previous bird feeders didnt survie the squirrels but this one is doing great. My kids love to watch from our window and enjoy seeing pics/videos from the app. We like talking about the different types of birds that visit us. We keep having to add birdseed bc the birds are eating it all up!

The images that it captures are high quality and we love that it recognizes the bird type so we can see what’s hanging out in our back yard! Wouldn't have considered myself a bird person but we finally bought one after enough of our friends had reccomended it. So far it's great! Easy set-up, looks nice, and a much better app than you would expect for this sort of thing. Very fun to get the postcards and compare with all our friends. Definitely going to look into get the solar panel roof next.

Set up was easy, battery lasts forever with solar roof. Getting this first bird took us 1 week because we did not have a feeder before, so it took a few days for birds to notice our feeder, and then a few days for them to be comfortable enough to trust it. Getting the first postcard was so awesome and exciting for me and my family. Once we got the first image we started getting many visits every day. We get carolina wrens, cardinals, and chicadees often. Sometimes we get tufted titmouse visits. My wife and kids love it and it has connected us to our backyard. We notice the birds and their behavior much more, and keeping the feeders stocked has really changed the ecosystem in our backyard for the better. We also love the community and highly reccomend joining the facebook groups and being active there + sharing content!

Really cool product! Love the ability to see different birds on your own bird house or on other houses across the US. Easy to assemble and the app helps you through registration. Beware that it costs an additional fee for the subscription and you'll need to find a location outside that still has wifi for this to work.

I saw this advertised on social media a while ago and couldn't wait to try it!! I live in Minnesota, so now isn't really the season for it. That said, we unpacked it and set it up so that when the weather is better, we will get to see all of the fun birds that are in our neighborhood! The app was super easy to use and functions like any other smart home product. I definitely want to get one of these for my parents! :)

I have been wanting one of these for a while. I have seen them online and was very excited to see target carrying this product in stores and and online. We were able to use our red card to get as cheap as we could! It was very simple to set up and I love how it has been working. A really cool feature is accessing other cameras around the world to see different birds. Awesome product.
