Blue Lizard Sensitive Sunscreen Tube - SPF 50 - 3 fl oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Blue Lizard Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 and it’s actually really good! It feels gentle on the skin and didn’t irritate me at all. I like that it’s mineral-based. It does leave a bit of a white cast at first, especially on medium skin like mine, but if I take my time blending it, it mostly goes away. And my skin looks glowy! It feels lightweight, not greasy, and to be honest I avoided applying it on my face. Plus, I didn’t get any sunburn, so it definitely does its job!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the application wasn’t the best for me. I’m used to sunscreen being smoother or using a spray, but this one was initially quite thick. I had to rub it in for a long time. It left the “white cast” pretty much makes me look “ashy” so im not very confident it absorbed well because i still had very obvious burns. On the positive side, the lotion has no scent, and the bottles had a special indicator on the top that alerts you to UVA/UVB exposure. Overall, I personally wasn’t a fan of the sunscreen. It’s not to say it won’t work for everyone, but it just didn’t work for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that it doesn't have a strong scent. The texture is very thick, which is why it is not one of my favorites as a lightweight sunscreen fan, but it does its job.

Use this for the first time on my 1 year old. After doing my research. I will not be using again. It gave us a terrible chemical burn.

I used to love the old formulation - worked great. I have sensitive skin and it’s hard for me to find products that work well for me. Sadly, the new formula makes my skin itchy (and is somehow greasier than the old one.) Time to shop for a new brand.

I guess it goes without saying this absolutely did not work for me. Am pretty sure that’s not how it’s supposed to look. Needless to say l will be returning this product and won’t be purchasing it again.

This sunscreen went on slightly thick, but absorbed easily and didn’t feel greasy or slimy. It had a normal sunscreen scent which I love. I also liked that the cap on the bottle changes colors when it detects UV rays, which signals me to reapply.

The packaging is exceptionally well-designed, particularly the color-changing cap that transitions from clear white to blue.

Goes on thick and requires a lot of time to rub it in. Feels a bit greasy at first but absorbs well and feels like lotion after a bit. Not sure I would use this on my kids become need something that I can put on faster but I liked it for myself.

It does leave a bit of a white cast at first, but it settles down pretty quickly, especially under makeup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sunscreen is good, I will say that it does amazing at preventing a sunburn. I play pickleball about 2-3 days out of the week and play in the brutal TX heat and every time I use this I never get burned. I do love mineral sunscreens because they don’t burn my eyes and this one also doesn’t sting my eyes. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the white cast and the finish. The finish is very hydrating but slightly tacky and I don’t feel like it absorbs completely it could be the finish of this specific one but I usually prefer one that sets to a nice matte finish. Another thing is that this one is not good for underneath makeup because of the white cast and I have a feeling that it would alter whatever products you put on top of it because of how dewy it is. You really have to rub it in for a while for the white cast to tone down a bit. You can’t really tell on the picture because my skin tone is on the lighter side but it’s more noticeable In person so I wouldn’t say that it’s brown skin friendly. Not that’s it’s a bad thing but I know many people prefer sunscreens that don’t leave a white cast at all. I would say that this sunscreen is great for outdoors when playing sports or beach days and maybe even as an everyday sunscreen but you have to like a dewy finish and not mind a slight white cast. My husband is the one that uses it the most he really enjoys but he doesn’t care about a white cast so it’s perfect. I still use it on days when I play sports or when I am at the river or beach but it’s definitely not something I would wear underneath makeup. Overall I would still recommend because it does what it’s supposed to it’s a great product with two small cons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This formula is very thick. It didn't make me break out like other spfs have. There's also no scent, which is great. But boy does it leave the WORST white cast you've ever seen! It the water, we turned blue white immediately. When trying to wipe it away, the paste like formula just slicked streaks across our skin.

My hubby works outside, and I dig that it turns purple to show it's working. It's super light, so you barely know you have it on. Plus, the packaging is adorable! I'm so glad it's for sensitive skin. It just disappeared, and it didn't even make my scalp greasy! And it's odorless, which is awesome. The cap changes color in the sun, and it's reef-safe!
