Q: What is the measurement from floor to bottom of bookcase, where the mattress goes? I have a 25 inch bed and frame, so would this fit if I just put it over the head of the mattress?

A: the shelf part is 29" from he floor. The headboard would not sit over the bed, it is designed for the bed to simply be pushed up against the headboard

A: The measurement from the floor to the shelf measures at 29" high therefore the mattress would be 1" from the shelving compartments

The headboard was a good value for the price. The materials were slightly scuffed during transportation, and the pieces were not labeled. So you needed to put together a puzzle a bit to assemble.

I ordered this for my nectar bed. It is perfect for what I needed. I have a full, the headboard is for a queen or full, it fits fine. It did not need to be screwed to the bed frame, and is free standing, one thing, the bed does not stay against the wall though, I have to move the mattress back all the time, but that is fine, i dont know of any headboards that actually stay put unless screwed in to the wall,( and it is on carpeting) but we dont want to mess with the walls, so its fine Also, it would be helpful if the boards were numbered, as it was too heavy for me to get up the stairs, had to unpack the box and make several trips to get it up there. I am missing like four of the screws for the sliding middle shelf ( to make it higher or lower) other wise its fine.

Nothing is labeled so it was a bit more time consuming compared to if each piece was labeled. Otherwise assembly was easy.
