Quiet comfort GenII review, great sound…good price

Bose is known for its audio quality and these earbuds do not disappoint. The audio is amazingly crisp. With the addition of immersive audio, you are transported to your favorite concert venue with your favorites bands instantly. The quiet comfort technology is just as advertised, these earbuds are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time and have wonderful noise cancellation. They literally block out a majority of background noise, including a ride on tractor while mowing! There is one drawback, the phone function has been OK. The audio could be improved along with connection. After making a few calls in different areas, the audio seemed to cut out at time and crackle at others. Some improvement needed there. Overall, I would recommend the quiet comfort gen II earbuds to any music lover out there, amazing sound at a good price.

Bose Quality + Convenience

I’ve always trusted Bose for sound quality, but I was hesitant to get earbuds because I usually experience ear fatigue within 10 minutes of wearing them. I wore these for 5 hours straight before they even started to bother me. The fit kit they include is a huge win with several variations of ear tips and cushion which are easy to swap, click securely, and make all the difference in comfort! The sound quality is superb. The bass and clarity feel like surround sound , full and powerful without being harsh or headache inducing. Noise cancellation is customizable and blocks out distractions beautifully, with little to no sound leakage which is amazing for phone calls and music. I’ve used them for phone calls, exercise, and downtime, and they always stay in place. Having modes like music, motion, and podcast makes the listening experience even more personal. Battery life is another highlight for me. The buds recharge quickly in the case, and I’ve only had to charge them once while stored. The connectivity range is beyond better than similar products I own, and the Bose app with EQ and customization options is really allows you to prioritize function and personalize your experience. My top highlights are the comfort, secure fit, and ability to tailor the experience to any situation. If I could improve one thing though, it would be adding a locator feature for lost buds or more shortcut button options. Overall I’d recommend these to anyone who moves. Literally. Especially people on the go who want earbuds that stay put, sound incredible, and feel comfortable for hours.

I’ve been using the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Generation) for a few weeks now, and I can confidently say they’ve set a new standard for what I expect from wireless earbuds. From the moment I put them in, I was blown away by the immersive audio. The soundstage feels wide and rich, pulling you into the music in a way that few earbuds manage to do. Whether I’m listening to a podcast, classical music, or bass-heavy tracks, everything sounds crisp and full. One of the standout features is the CustomTune technology, which adapts the audio to the unique shape of your ears. It’s not just a gimmick — it actually makes a noticeable difference. The sound feels tailored, balanced, and incredibly personal. Add to that the customizable equalizer, and you’ve got full control over your listening experience. You can fine-tune every frequency to match your preferences, and once you dial it in, it’s audio perfection. The noise cancellation is hands down some of the best I’ve ever experienced in any earbuds — or even over-ear headphones. Whether I’m on a plane, in a noisy café, or just trying to focus at home, the world around me fades away almost completely. It’s deeply impressive how well these block out ambient sound without compromising audio quality. Comfort is just as important as sound, and Bose nails it here too. The soft silicone ear tips provide a snug and secure fit without ever feeling intrusive or uncomfortable, even during long listening sessions. They stay in place, feel great, and help with both noise isolation and audio delivery. Add in wireless charging, advanced Bluetooth connectivity (seriously stable and quick to pair), and these are easily among the most feature-packed and thoughtfully designed earbuds I’ve ever owned. Final Verdict: The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) combine industry-leading noise cancellation, incredibly immersive and customizable sound, and superior comfort in a sleek, wireless package. If you’re serious about audio quality and want a premium, no-compromise listening experience, these are absolutely worth it.

Calls are still not at the level for pure clarity. How can I make my background quiet for the person on the other end of my call. ANC is incredible as always. Figure out how to make my environment quiet for listeners on the other end.

I have enjoyed my earbuds greatly. I was not a podcast person until these arrived and feel like it was comfortable and easier to use than it appeared to be. I enjoy them especially while traveling in the noisy subways of NYC. I am a new convert from an extensive collection of more traditional headphones.

I've been using these earbuds for a little over 3 weeks now and I am totally enjoying them. Using for music and podcasts. The clarity for the podcasts are unbeatable. At times I would have an issue with the various voices but not these! The bass and treble on these seem to be very well balanced also. My only con that I noticed is the noise cancelling is not quite as good as the original/1st generation QC Earbuds but these definitely can be added to your "Bud collection" as they are sleek, small and stylish !

These Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) perform the best when you want to be surrounded in sound. The noise cancelling and immersive audio features make these earbuds perform beyond my initial expectations, and they were not set low. Once you download the Bose app, pairing the earbuds will be a breeze, and you'll have access to all the features that make these earbuds sound even better. Out of the box, the earbuds come with 3 sets of stability bands and ear cups, so finding the most comfortable fit for you may take a few minutes, but should be achievable without too much trouble. The noise cancelling is super, but when paired with the Immersive Audio, it takes listening to you favorite tunes to the next level. You also have a customizable EQ, so you can adjust the music to your tastes. The Bose app makes it easy to adjust the settings of the earbuds to fit what you're doing, with full control over noise reduction, sound modes, EQ, and Immersive Audio. The touch settings on the earbuds make for easy operation. The charging case is solid and is capable of wireless charging. The status lights are easy to see and understand. White means charged and ready to go, yellow means they are charging, and blue is pairing mode. The only downside to the case is that there is a lack of location detection; it would be great if Bose could add a feature to their app to "find my earbuds" if you misplace them, either by tracking, or emitting a tone so you can find them. Other than that trivial detail, these earbuds are absolutely awesome. They sound great, they look great, and they fit exceptionally well. They are a huge improvement on my QC II earbuds, and that's saying a lot! All in all, I personally think they are best earbuds I've had the pleasure of listening to. They make it easy for me to get lost in the music.

These earbuds deliver the best sound of any wireless pair I’ve used. The audio is crisp, clear, and balanced right out of the box, making music far more enjoyable. The Bose app’s built-in equalizer adds another layer of customization, letting you fine-tune the highs and lows to match your preferences. The noise cancellation on these is every bit as good as you’d expect from Bose, blocking out nearly all outside distractions and allowing you to fully immerse yourself in what you’re listening to. The first time I tried the immersive audio feature, I was blown away. It adds a spacious, three-dimensional quality to the sound that feels almost like being in the room with a live band. Comfort is another strong point. The earbuds fit securely and stayed in place whether I was studying or running outdoors—something I really appreciate as a college student. The redesigned tips with added wax protection are a thoughtful upgrade, making the earbuds easier to keep clean. Wireless charging is also a great convenience, allowing me to grab the case and go without worrying about cables. With that being said, there’s still room for improvement. Both the earbuds and the case are a bit larger than some competing products, which can make them feel bulky. I’d also like to see some form of audio feedback for the touch controls—just a quick confirmation sound would go a long way in assuring the tap registered correctly. Overall, the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds 2 are an outstanding pair of earbuds. With top-tier sound, excellent noise cancellation, and thoughtful design touches, they set a high bar.

I received these headphones right before a couple of long trips for business and they were better than expected and I am now converting from an over-the-ear type headphone user to these earbuds. I have always favored the sound quality of Bose and I previously had the NC700 earphones and loved them. On my recent travels, I used my QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) exclusively and am able now to convert to using the earbuds. The fit of the Earbuds was phenomenal due to the extra layer of adjustment pieces to my ear, which also helped with the noise cancelling and was a little better at keeping out the noise, which is a big deal when you are on an airplane. I used Cinema mode when watching the movies and was really impressed with the quality when paired with my iPad. I also used the Earbuds to pair with the screens on the airplane (Boeing-777) and had no problems with pairing and using them and the quality was just as amazing. In my opinion the best feature of these earbuds is the immersion mode and if there is anyone out there that is a fan of the band Tool, you must listen to their music in Immersion mode as it brings it to another level and I prefer to listen to them with these earbuds on. For the battery life I was able to make it through a 13 hour flight starting with a fully charged case and Earbuds and watching movies through the flight. To do this, I had to take out my Earbuds while the drink and meal service was going on, which gave the Earbuds ample time to recharge enough between services, otherwise they would only last ~5 hours using cinema mode and just above mid volume. These earbuds are a must for any person that travels. Pros: Light & Compact Sound Quality Features (Especially Immersion mode) Similar Interface as previous Bose Headphones (Being able to swipe on outside to change volume) Comfort (can wear for extended periods) Cons: Battery life vs. Over Head type headphones Must use a bluetooth plug adapter for screens that don't have bluetooth on planes (maybe offer one with headset)

What’s up all! I am pretty happy with these earbuds, but I was able to try these at no cost through Bose, my review might be just a tad biased..I have used them about 50 hours now and they sound excellent so far. Overall, I would recommend to anyone in need of new earbuds or anyone using anything older than 3 years, given they are not too much of a stretch financially. At the end of the day, I would pay the equivalent of less than a dollar a day for an exceptional auditory experience, but I’ve had opportunities a lot of people haven’t. A little background on my experience so far and things I consider relevant about myself regarding my use with these earbuds…I’ve used them while playing video games, just laying around, and while playing basketball. I listen to a lot of classic rock, or what I would call classic rock (CCR, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, etc.) and some more contemporary stuff (Weezer, the killers, black keys, etc). Sometimes I listen to some hip hop/rap (Kendrick Lamar, j Cole, old Kanye, etc). Additionally I own the NC 700 headphones, and first generation quietcomfort earbuds. I think this is particularly relevant, as I am comparing these to other top drawer Bose products (If you're gonna compare a Hanzo sword, you compare it to every other sword ever made… that wasn't made by Hattori Hanzo) I am not too tech savvy, but I watched an unboxing video and messed with the settings. I don’t really care for touch control stuff, ideally I’d have a nice hard click, and the wireless charging feature might be cool or useful to others, but does not really move the needle for me. That being communicated..,, Pros so far in order of importance to me: -Sound is an improvement on current earbuds, I suspect it may be in part do to them being new as opposed to my current pair, but the bass when listening to some hip hop was ridiculously nice, it was like there was a helicopter flying overhead. -The screen on the earbud tips is an awesome feature, subtle but will be very useful in keeping them clean I think! -Battery life seems to be improved -The fit is very nice, like the current version, and they have not slipped out on me yet even with a little sweat Cons so far for me: -Besides the silver Bose text on the case and the aforementioned screen on bud tips I am not noticing any upgrades out of the box to the quietcomfort 1st generation, I would hope for a smaller/flatter case. -Did not work with my ecoflow mobile charging pad, I only have it for travel, but it has a built in usb C anyways so no big deal

I have been using the Bose Ultra earbuds 2nd gen as my daily driver. I have taken them to the gym on the train to watch movies and even on my Steam Deck and Switch 2. I love the ANC, some of the best in class; it is scary when walking around the city. There was a bit of latency while playing on my Switch 2, but not game-breaking. Movies and YouTube seem to be fine delivering high-quality audio. As an avid gym goer, I found that with weights being slammed or dropped, I would get a poof sound in the earbuds. On the train, they are golden blocking out crying babies and other people’s conversations. All around, Bose hits it out of the park here; I felt the buds were comfortable, easy to use, and intuitive; this is a great edit to the QC gen 1. I have enjoyed my time with these earbuds.

Best Bose Earbuds To Date!!!

What Makes Them Special: Exceptional Immersive Audio Sets These Earbuds Apart The new "immersive sound technology" is undoubtedly the standout feature of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) and what catapults these earbuds into the top tier of best earbuds for 2025-2026 for me! I compared them directly to my Apple AirPod Pros 1, and I can confidently say that the immersive sound feature outperforms Apple's spatial audio feature by a solid margin. When activated, the audio soundstage is exceptional and exquisite, and the audio clarity is outstanding. Kudos to the Bose team for this achievement! Sound Quality Across Different Modes With "immersive audio" disabled, the sound signature becomes noticeably flat, which actually serves a purpose for those who need accurate sound monitoring. While this might seem like a downgrade, the built-in equalizer effectively enhances the audio dynamice without the use of the immersive modes. Surprisingly with or without the immersive sound turned on, the clarity remains impressive and still surpasses most current earbud offerings in 2025. Immersive Settings For workouts or any activity with unpredictable head movements, I mostly use the "Move" settings, as it adjusts the soundstage to follow my head movements. I've found myself using this setting the most even during stationary activities like commuting too. The "Still" setting, though designed for seated listening sessions, can feel too disorienting for me. Touch Controls The controls are super responsive, taps and double taps, and holds to change volume or modes. They work well enough, but I usually turn this off because I don't need it. I use the app. Final Thoughts These earbuds excel where it matters most: an immersive audio experience. Whether listening to music, audiobooks, or movies, it's just an exceptional pair of earbuds. I'm happy with it, and additionally, the multi-connect works great. I have it connected to my iPhone and iPad, and it works seamlessly as I switch between devices. I love using these earbuds!

Great sound, Immersive Audio, and Multiple devices

Of all the Bose products I own these are one of my favorite earbuds. More features than the QuietComfort Earbuds II. Same Quiet mode noise cancelling function but now it also incorporates the Immersive Audio feature that the Ultra Open Earbuds have. This makes for some great encompassing music. On top of the great sound they have the ability to connect to 2 devices at the same time which is great if you're listening to music on your phone and then need to switch over to a meeting on your laptop. Switching (or cycling) is as simple as touching and holding one earbud while it cycles through the Bluetooth sources. The audio (both speaker and microphone) in meetings is very good. I can get almost 5 hrs of use off a charge, depending upon how much music or meetings I'm streaming. If power drops to about 10-20% I'll pop one earbud in the case to recharge while I continue using the other one. Once charged I'll swap them so I can charge the other earbud. They don't take long to fully recharge so I'm back to using both buds in a short amount of time. Oh, and the earbuds will tell you when the batteries are low. You'll still need to use the app to configure some of the features, as well as update firmware. I know some people don't like apps but I've been using them for most of my Bose products so it's not a big deal for me. Once configured use the earbuds like you would any other earbud. Overall these are great earbuds with fantastic audio, and with the multiple device feature they now replace my work headset as well.

I received these headphones as part of the beta testing feature and they have been amazing. I had the 1st gen earbuds and I hated the fit and the sound. They would constantly fall out of my ears. These stay put no matter how I am moving around. The sound on these are amazing. I have the QC ultra headphones and the sound on these earbuds mimics the sound on those. These earbuds drown out environmental noises perfectly! I use them daily on my commute and I even used them at the US Open and they kept the noise out. I used to use Apple AirPods but now there are my go to earbuds for daily use. The only thing I wish was better was I sometimes have connection issues and I wish I had a way to track the earbuds. Overall, I would definitely recommend these earbuds!

My go-to earbuds

I've been using these earbuds for a few weeks now, and I've been very impressed with the experience. I have an embarrassing number of earbuds and headphones (Pixel Buds Pros 2, Airpods Pro, Airpods Max, QC Ultra, Bowers and Wilkins overears, among many others). These earbuds have become my go-to headphones for everything. I mostly listen to podcasts, but I also listen to music fairly regularly (mostly classic rock, rock, video game OSTs, some pop and some dance/electronica). These earbuds work in pretty much every use cases. I care about audio quality, but I'm not an audio perfectionist. I just want something that has decent EQ at all levels and don't sound like the sound is coming out of a tin can. So these have been great. Some pros: - Great sound quality - Excellent noise cancellation. I travel by air a decent amount, I use these now instead of my over-ear headphones because the ANC is better on these than any other earbuds or headphones I've used - Good long trip comfort - Custom EQ works well - The different size eartips and bands that go around the buds make the fit even better - Multi-point connection works well - Good battery life - Good premium feel while also feeling robust (both the ear buds and the case) - The case and lid are sturdy (not worried I'm going to break the lid off) and the earbuds only fit in one way, which makes putting them away easy Cons - The touch sensitivity gets a little iffy sometime. I've accidentally paused or adjusted volume laying down on a pillow or grazing the touch areas with my hands. It makes me self-conscious about my hands and how I'm laying if I have them in - Nit picky, but minimal color choices to start. I'm hoping these follow the trend of other products where the array of color options expands quickly - I generally like the immersion mode, but it can make some of my podcasts sound like the speakers are talking in a cavernous auditorium rather than just having fuller sound. This is probably more preference, but it adds a reverb I'm not sure is totally necessary on voice-only - No wireless charging on the case. More of a nitpick, but I have a wireless charging pad in my car and occasionally I wish I could set the case there to give it a bit of juice while I'm driving Overall, I highly recommend these earbuds. The cons aren't deal breakers, and they have good quality sound.

With an earring in my cartilage it took a minute to find the right combination of padding/ear tip but once I did, I was able experience the incredible sound of these ear buds. The quiet feature is way nice. As you get older sometimes the noise around you can be overwhelming. I was able to enjoy the quiet setting while doing dishes, listening music or watching a show while the grandkids played their video games. The clicking of the game paddle can be a bit to much. I liked that I could tap or just take out the ear bud when one of them would come up to me to ask a question. I liked how it paused everything so I could answer the question and go right back to where I left off. The low profile and weight of the ear bud is nice to the point you forget your have them in. Thanks Bose for another high quality product!!!
