Q: Is the top of this ice cream cone toy plastic or rubber? I know that base is plastic.

A: Hello and thank you for your question! The top of the toy is TPR material, so technically speaking yes it is rubber. However it is a bit softer material, which is why supervised play is important for these items. If your dog is tough on their toys then we recommend one of our Tough & Tumble products for added durability. Great concept lack of durability
Like the previous comments it's a great idea but my dog lasted 5 mins before chewing through it. I would say be better if it was full rubber.

Worked as intended

The only issue is our pups caught on quickly and managed to start dispensing treats fast and even unscrewed the top to get them all at once...

I have a husky
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As the title says, I have a husky, and as my eldest says there seems to be but one brain cell the huskies share and it is never her turn. She can not figure out this toy and has hid it from us. She likes it, and I recommend this toy but our pup did not understand her assignment. It was fun watching her pick it up and throw it around trying to figure it out. One I find it we will be using it more. I recommend it to my mother in law for her to put cat treats in for her cats. I don't have a photo or video at this moment.

Dog didn't really care for it

Might be great for another dog
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is was way to rigid for my pup. I think it was lacking on the amount of smell holes as well but that's just my opinion. I sure this works well for other doggies just not mine. The treat hike was not as flexible as other which was difficult for inserting treats and my pup getting then out too. You'd have to find the exact right size so that it won't drop tons of treats or the treat would they stuck. I would like to see a more flexible body and a removable head to fill treats. More smell hills so pups are interested. And maybe one more test dispenser hole.

Good concept, bad durability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to start out thanking Brightkins for the free treat dispenser to try. That being said, I really regret that I have to give 1 star. I will start with the pros. It is super cute and I love the light blue color. The whole is the perfect size that my pup did not have trouble getting the treats to dispense and it was super easy to get out the package. Now for the bad, it is not durable. My puppers destroyed it in under 10 minutes. 😔 The top also popped off with little pressure and had to be put back on. I believe this would work for a little dog, but definitely not for any dog above 20lbs or that likes to chew. I am sorry I could not leave a good review.

Great for all size dogs

This has all the great aspects of Kong but is much much easier to open and clean. My dogs have loved playing with this and it has helped keep them entertained and mentally stimulated.

Kept my Dog Busy for a While

My boy LOVES this!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the treat dispenser two ways and it works great! You fill the treat dispenser by taking off the "ice cream" part. I have only used this toy with his dog food. One way that I love to use this treat dispenser is by scooping alot of food in there and letting him eat that way. He is an extremely fast eater and this definitely slows him down. I also use it just as a treat with less food in it. My guy pushes this ice cream cone around the house dispensing food. I have to take it away from him when empty because he likes chewing the cone part. This keeps him busy for a while and he gets so excited when he sees it. We've used other treat dispensers that are similar but I love this one because it's super fast to fill and I don't have to get my hands dirty.

This is a great nose-work toy for my Shih Tzu!
My 7yr old Shih Tzu looooves this toy! He has a very active sniffer so I try to keep him active with different nose-work toys. For this I've used training treats…small jerky treats and I also put cheerios in there. He loves rolling it around the house LOL I have a few different types of nose-work toys but this one is nice and small, it's easily portable and I like it cause if I need a small distraction for him, it'll give me about 5-10 min of free time!! It's not an advanced nose-work toy but like I said I like it cause it's smaller than my other toys. It would be a great introduction to nose-work or for puppies. It's very hard plastic so even if a puppy gets it and nibbles on it, it won't fall apart.
