Love brumate. I have different ones. Along with my friends and family members and they have shared it their friends. BUT! I thought this was going to be improved. I have the other kids brumate and it never lock. Not good. This one I love but I can’t give it to my grandson because he’s going to be 2 and well boys in general don’t pay attention and it’s all over. Especially in the car. At home I just give him a different one. I do take it with me when we are out because it keeps his drinks cold and I can switch out but my 6 year old niece loves matching her mama and Aunties.

Not an appropriate cup for a toddler unless they can understand how to lock/unlock the cup. It is not spill proof at all when the straw is unlocked. Very disappointing, as I bought it for my toddler to take to school, and it is a very expensive cup to not be spill proof.

We were washing the cap on the top rack of the dishwasher as instructed, but noticed rust growing internally. BruMate sent a new cup and since we have hand washed the lid with no issues. My 2 year old can toggle the leak proof feature on her own for the most part. It does leak a lot if the lid isn’t secured properly.
