Not the "classic game"
Not the “classic game” Missing two cards that were removed

We made the decision to remove two cards/pieces of content from the game. The original images, dating back to the Don Clemente era, were created a long time ago and could be perceived as potentially offensive in today's cultural context. This choice was made with the intention of maintaining Loteria as a family-friendly game that can be enjoyed by players from diverse backgrounds without encountering potentially offensive material. We appreciate your understanding and are committed to ensuring a positive and inclusive gaming experience for everyone.

Does NOT include 2 cards. El negrito & El Apache.
Does NOT include 2 cards. El negrito & El Apache. So disappointing and not authentic. Those cards are not offensive, there was no need to remove them.

2 cards are missing from this deck. It’s so odd because I had to recount and recall which cards were missing. Very disappointed. As a kid growing up playing this it’s very nostalgic. I only bought this game because of convenience. I thought the tin was a great storing idea and the game boards were nice and thick and comes with markers instead of beans which is easy to clean. But you cannot say that this is an authentic original Mexican lotería board game by removing key things that make it a lotería. In that case minus well have all the card illustrations turned into emojis or something idk. I’m just very disappointed….

Loteria
So make sure not to combine the loteria with other loterías, since normal loterías have 54 cards and this one has 52. People will be angry if you do. It's missing the Apache and Negrito.

Not the original loteria
For everyone trusting the description that implies this is the original authentic loteria, as in the Mexican loteria please be warned it is not. The original Mexican loteria has 54 cards, this one only has 52 cards, 2 of the original cards are excluded. My theory is that it’s because it maybe offensive. Therefore if you use this deck of cards with people that have the original loteria playing cards, those 2 missing will never come up. The quality of the double sided playing cards, deck, and coins is really nice and looks like they will last a long time. The images are printed on a shiny card stock making it harder to see but these may last longer than the original cardboard game. I was not expecting this game to have 2 missing cards in the deck. I loved the small coins that are included but strongly considering returning due to false advertising of being the original authentic Mexican loteria when it clearly isn’t.

Not Original, Missing cards - I didn't know that two were going to be missing because they thought they were offensive.. plus I thought these were the old-school type with the description on the back of the picture. Not Cool

Know what youre not getting
I love the tin case, it is the main reason why I purchased it. You get marking chips! One thing many Loterias don’t include as it is common to use beans as markers, and this is where the traditional play ends. The playing boards are thick and seem durable, I like how they are double sided. However, I removed 2 stars because the original loteria game has 54 cards but you only get 52 with this “new and improved” set. What you don’t get are the traditional “#26 El Negrito,” and “#38 El Apachito;” why? I don’t know but my grandma is also disappointed as she would rather play with beans.

Disappointed that they remove 2 cards from the original.
I'm keeping my orginal instead. Why would they remove El Negrito and El Apache from this edition. I mean I guess the cancel culture is now affecting mexican branded things. Our family was so excited to play tonight after purchasing and bummed that we have to return it. Would've been a cool edition if they kept the same game. It's unfortunate and not sure who asked for this new edition

Missing 2 of the 54 original cards
I was initially excited to get a higher quality Loteria game, and while the quality is good, the game is advertised as "classic" and "authetic" but it is missing two cards. I assume they have been removed because they were deemed "offensive", but that makes it seem inauthentic. Overall, I would still purchase again but buyer beware. 1 star removed for each missing card.

Not for kids!
My initial order was lst. Target was great and sent me another one, then another one! I ended up getting three! Unfortunately, I'm returning them due to the graphic pictures on the cards. I should have looked closer at the pictures. It says good for kids 8 and up, but I don't need my kids to see pictures of a drunk or the devil on a bingo card! I do not recommend for use with kids.
